Pros: up-front adjustment, canopy works well. Cons: handle is difficult to adjust. Probably a bit easier for a taller person.
We didn't do our research with baby #1 - I was just too excited about buying baby stuff that I grabbed whatever stroller/carseat combo I thought was attractive, and easy to steer & fold. I had no idea that some carseats have an up-front adjustment ...
Pros: Compatible with most strollers, easy in/out of car, easy in/out of stroller base Cons: Too hot and sweaty--cover is a MUST
The directions that came with the seat were horrible but we managed to figure it out; the LATCH system works beautifully--the base is VERY secure and comes out easily when one needs to remove it. The seat easily sits in the base and is removed from ...
Pros: Sturdy, side impact protection, head rest and head protection. Cons: It is a little pricey since it can only be used for a few months.
When my granddaughter was born, I turned to the Gracco name to buy a carseat because of their fine reputation. I found this Graco SnugRide 8649 - G Collection Infant Car Seat for her and decided to buy it mainly because of the side impact protection. I ...
Pros: Quality, adjustment for newborns, ease of use Cons: fit baby up to 15Lbs, not up to 20Lbs!
We bought this seat 3 years ago (2004) and use it again today for our second child. We are extremely happy with the seat and what it provides for young babies. It is very strongly built (and so heavy!!) and comes with an excellent cushioning, which is ...
Pros: Fashionable, looks great, easy to snap on to base in car and compatible strollers Cons: Material is horrible, baby quickly outgrew, handle malfunctions
After months and months of reviewing carseats and their brands, we decided upon a Graco snugride, given Graco's stellar reputation and excellent reviews. Then came the fun part : choosing a fabric. We narrowed it down to prints and colors that were ...
Pros: big, versatile sunshade, sturdy, good value, easy to carry about, easy to clean Cons: heavy, handlebar can be hard to adjust
Well i have used this car seat for the last 6 months. I bought this car seat because it was the only one that was adaptable to my stroller (the rock star baby), leaving me no other options. My baby was born in september in oregon and i've been using a ...
I'm very pleased with it because it is so easy to use. My baby feel very comfortable in it and I use it even in the house. It is lightweight and I can carry my baby in it. The cover for cold times is very useful and also can be removed if you want.
Great Car Seat with style by mkunkel70 ,Nov 03 '06
Pros: The leveling system makes it easy to place in the car. Cons: The material isn't very soft.
This car seat is lightweight and easy to carry. It is also nice that the front of the base has a leveler so you don't have to use towels. I also like that it comes with a baby cover for those cold times of the year.
Pros: Easy to get in and out of the car. Cons: Difficult to carry.
I was given this car seat at my baby shower. We really enjoyed it and now are passing it on to my brother and sister-in-law. I think it is a great car seat. I liked the stationary base that stayed in my car, which made it very easy to get my daughter and the carrier in and out of the car. The only draw back is that it is awkward to carrier. But then again I think all of these infant carriers are difficult to carry and are heavy BEFORE placing an infant in the seat.
Pros: Very easy to use and very safe for your baby. Cons: A little pricey, but well worth money.
Graco has done it again and created the best product available. Ever product of theirs that I have used, I have been very impressed with. They always seem to think ahead and know what is needed. This is so easy to use and easy to get in and out of my car.
Beware of contact dermatitis/rash by katika ,Oct 02 '07
Pros: convenient design to transport baby Cons: fabric causes terrible rash
Whereas I like the style of this carseat, my son (and my sister's son, one month younger) developed a terrible rash from skin contact to the fabric. I took my son to two dermatologists and two pediatricians before we found out this was what caused it. And he's not an "allergic" baby. Once I covered up the car seat before putting him in, the rash disappeared. The pediatrician says it's likely due to the flame retardant chemicals they use on the fabric. Either way - spare your baby the topical steroids and numerous doctor's appointments, not to mention the painful looking rash and discomfort, and if you purchase this cover the fabric. A large pillowcase cut through for the straps works well.
Pros: Stylish, sturdy, made by a trusted name Cons: None that we have discovered.
I needed a car seat that was compatible with a Inglesina stroller, and the SnugRide was the only one that was.
I found this one to be the nicest, appearance-wise, as it is silver and matches the aluminum frame of the stroller.
Other than the physical appearance, the car seat is very stable and sits nicely in my truck. (I have a Land Rover and other car seats did not sit as securely as this one does)
It is easy to install and comes with a removable base.
Sine we have two vehicles, we purchased an additional base for my husbands vehicle, which just makes it easier to move the carseat from one vehicle to another.
