Pros: fast, ease of use, and its compact size Cons: Shhh none yet
Santa son did great with this gift. When Susi and I went down to one printer it was no big deal really (well for me it wasn't) I just sent anything I wanted printed to Susi in an email and had her do it for me. Secretly I think she put a bug in someone's ...

Pros: It prints, copies, and scans in black and white or color. Has stand alone capability. Cons: No FAX capability, ink costs way too much to replace.

Pros: Easy of use, good quality, affordable. Cons: No concerns yet.
I had been using my old HP OfficeJet 630 since 1999. As a printer, it was holding up. I never used the fax function. The copy function had always been a little slow. And the old-fashion feed-through style scanner was showing a bit of wear and tear. ...

Hewlett Packard - All In One Printer
by michelle6616 ,Dec 17 '05
Pros: Convenient to have,Reasonable Price,Box was easy to open Cons: no cons.
I have had my Hewlett Packard Printer for about a year and it's been great.I can print as many photo's as I want now.I also scan my personal documents, and photo's and put them on a disk or CD.Having this printer has been so convenient because I didn't have to go to a store and get someone else to do it for me,and now I can do it my self. The price for this type of printer was reasonable. The Hewlett Packard Printer's can be found almost anywhere, and even Walmart carries them.

Very Easy To Use
by chrobo42 ,Jan 08 '06
Pros: Inexpensive, high print quality Cons: Noisy, uses a lot of ink
I have had HP Printers before and loved them. My last printer was a Brother multi-function and I hated it - the printing was very poor. However, the HP PSC 1401 is very inexpensive and the print quality is excellent. It is also very easy to use and the software that comes with it is also easy to use. The black and white quality is excellent and so is the color quality. It is very easy to change ink cartridges and to load paper.
The only thing missing from this printer that I really liked about my last HP was an envelope loader. It does tend to use a lot of ink and is also quite noisy. Other than that, I highly recommend it, as it takes up very little space and does a lot for the money.

Hidden costs

Pros: Lots of features and good software package. Fast and decent quality. Cons: Drinks ink like a dehydrated marathon runner.
I was pretty impressed with this initially. It scans, copies, prints black/white and color and all for around $50. It also comes with a considerable package of software. But...my wife and I decided to print a newsletter to stuff in our Christmas cards. We got about 30 to 35 pages per in cartridge. At $18 per cartridge this comes to 54 cents per page, only slightly less expense than if we had printed them at a copy center. For day to day printing this is a good printer just don't go nuts with the color or you will go broke.

by idarose ,Dec 22 '05
Pros: Easy to use, inexpensive. Inks are compatible to others. Cons: Locks up after continuous use.
I love the machine. The ease of use. But, I did find if I print continuosly it wants to lock up on me and I have to reboot. Anyone know the reason for this?
