BUT... To get the best picture on this set,you need to know a bit about setting up a rear projection CRT. For those of you new to RP CRT, setting the convergence, contrast, brightness, tint (color) and enhancements is absolutely critical to achieving ...
Pros: Picture size and quality and value cannot be beat Cons: None. Maybe its size -- it is a big TV for a big room.
Update Nov 2008. Have had TV for nearly 2 years. 65 inch TV purchased on-line. It cost $1600.00 delivered to my basement. I still think his is the largest HDTV TV you will find without spending a small fortune. This is the ideal TV if you have a medium ...
Pros: Best picture...awesome price. Cons: No built-in tuner...if that matters.
I've been holding off on buying an HD TV for years. Recently, with the ubiquity of high definition content, I decided the time was right. After exhaustive searches, I settled on the 65F59 from Hitachi and bought it in October of 2006. There are ...
Pros: Outstanding picture, Incredibly affordable (paid $750), No service on the set in the past year Cons: Heavy and bulky, Could dominate a smaller living room
I've owned this massive set for a year now, and I am so glad that I didn't spend hundreds of dollars more on other sets that I was considering at the time. I was originally looking at 42" flatscreens, but when I noticed this - the biggest set at HH ...
Best 65 inch for the money, by far! by tinny2 ,Nov 07 '06
Pros: Great picture, dark blacks, BIG screen! Cons: None that I can find. Maybe the remote
I've looked for 12+ months for the right "big screen" tv. From everything I've read and seen, the CRT-based technology was going to give me the biggest bang for the buck. I don't have $2k plus for LCD or DLP or plasma, and quite frankly, I was not happy about replacing bulbs, or degrading pixels, et al.
This CRT-based 65 incher gives me an INCREDIBLE HD picture, deep dark blacks, no ghosting or "artifacts", and is really bright. So what if it's a little bigger than the other technology?? I'm extremely happy and would recommend this set to anyone.

Pros: Best price performance HDTV on the market! Cons: None
I did quite a bit of research before buying this TV. It is my second CRT based HDTV. I had a Mitsubishi and it died after seven years of use. I paid over 3,000.00 for the Mitsubishi for HDTV was new at the time. The picture blows away my old Mitsubishi when it was new. It has deep blacks and auto digital convergence. You need allot of room for this TV for it is not a slim profile model, however my use is a media center on the lower level. The HDTV picture is as good as the new Panasonic 42inch Plasma I just purchased for the family room.
This TV does not have a tuner and I don't see that as an issue for most people that buy this TV will have Dish or Cable
In summary, the best price/performance on the market!
