Pros: Cheap, light, loook stylish, good noise insulation, good sound with ports covered, efficient Cons: Cumbersome to put on, need ports covered to sound better, my ears get tired quick
The headphones that come with various MP3 players, generally speaking, are pretty poor. Some are very poor, some are borderline acceptable. The headphones that ship with various i

Pros: Gold-plated plug. Cons: Dark overall sound. Mediocre appearance and comfort. Questionable durability.

Pros: Cheap. Noise filtering. Unpowered. Small. Fantastic Bass Cons: You have to stick them IN your ears. Treble is lacking. Cheap foam around canula
I wanted headphones that would drown out the oceans of noise I run into in the hallways, subways, storeways and everywhere-elseways I walk through while trying to enjoy the music on my iPod. When you’re surrounded by noise, a simple pair of headphones ...
Pros: No outside noise to deal with and inexpensive Cons: Can't hear voices either and static discharge-prone
I have owned two pair of these headphones over the last three years. As a subway train rider in Chicago, I found them excellent for blocking out all that train noise. Of course, in less noisy settings, they do too good of a job, as you often cannot hear ...
Pros: Great bass, great isolation, cheap, tiny. Cons: Uncomfortable for long wear, pads aren't that robust.
These are fantastic headphones for the price. They are the only ear buds I have ever gotten good bass from. The Koss Sparkplugs are in-ear earbuds: a malleable foam pad sits inside your ear like an ear plug. The cone sits just outside the pad and is ...
Pros: Good sound quality, in-ear type, inexpensive for the model Cons: Problems with the expanding foam
I am the owner of a iPod Nano. In more than one occasion I felt like the headphones were far from perfection. Their quality is good but the shape makes them fall out of the ear far too often. Also it is impossibile to position them correctly while ...
Pros: Good isolation only with 3rd party earplugs Cons: Very bad bass-heavy muffled sound, bad foam earplugs. Not worth it.
I bought these as a cheaper alternative to the active noise canceling headphones (had a Sennheiser PXC-250, Sony MDR-NC50). I figured I might as well try a low-cost route to see if it would suffice for my plane traveling. The sound quality of these ...
Pros: Low price ($18), very nice in-ear fit for just about anybody. Cons: Sound is disappointing, very muffled
I bought these looking for an in-ear that stays in, and they do. The foam pads are just like disposable closed-cell foam ear-plugs used for hearing protection in noisy environments. You roll them with your fingers, insert, and wait a moment for them to ...
Pros: Comfortable for long duration listening Cons: Poorly designed mute switch fails after a couple of weeks/months.
The concept and design is pretty good. They are much more comfortable than similarly priced "bud" earphones.I found the sound ok. Other reviewers loved the sound, so it could be that a lot depends on how well they fit your ear. I'm pretty sure ...
Keeps out the noise--No longer recommended by pvital ,Dec 18 '05
Pros: Keeps out the noise. Inexpensive in terms of money/quality ratio Cons: Might get "tired" ears after prolonged use. 12/13/05 Plugs come off easily. No longer recommended
Low cost I think was the reason I bought them. They are somewhat more comfortable than the ear buds that came with the "Ipod." I've had other ear buds and whether more expensive or not, the "Sparkplug" is about equivalent in terms of comfort. The main advantage is that it keeps the subway noise out quite well. I don't recommend using these if you are crossing numerous large busy intersections while walking nor should use them while driving.
12/23/05 I have to update this. The soft plug comes off easily. I lost one the other day and the neither of the replacement fit correctly. Now the thing is utterly useless. I no longer recommend this.
Pros: Good fit, attractive, compact. Cons: Bass, but some people like a lot of Bass.
I had better defend these ear plugs. Giving them a terrible
rating is not fair to Koss. These are definetly worth the money. Koss headphones have always been a bargain. I find no problem with these. If I had paid $35.00 or so for these then
I would begin to feel ripped off, but for $12.00 they blow the doors of of the freebie phones that come with MP3 players today
Pros: comfort in the short term Cons: worst sound ever! Absolute crap!
If you are considering buying a pair of spark plugs be warned, they are rubbish! The sound is pathetic ( the worst I have heard in any portable headphone ) I am not a picky audiophile either. All I was really looking for in these ear buds was a little more comfort, which admittedly they provide in the short term, but I will never no if they become uncomfortable after prolonged usage because I could not stand to listen to them for more than a couple of minutes. I know we all have different expectations of our listening experience, but I challenge anyone to say these ear buds are even close to average!
A very poor product indeed, shame on you koss!
Pros: Muffles outside noise, doesn't let sound leak out Cons: Foam slow to expand in cold weather
My dad gave me these when I was complaining about being able to hear other noise over my music. I don't like to be one of those people who shares their music with everyone else, so I tried these out. The foam works really well in muffling outside noise and I didn't notice anything wrong with the sound quality. The music in these headphones sounded exactly like when I played it on others.
The memory foam did have a problem in cold weather though. It still worked, but was a bit slower. Other than that I haven't had any problems with them. My dad did say that when he got his wet, the memory foam did stop working for him, but I havent had that problem yet. Still it is something to watch out for.
Pros: heavy bass Cons: too big, no treble, spent extra $30 on EQ
I bought these at circuit city for $20. At first the sound wasn't bad. Nothing happened to it or any thing, but the only reason it sounded good is because my previous headphones were weak. These aren't that great with portable cd players, but when you use it with an EQ and an amplifier, they sound good. Also, people said there ears started to hurt after a couple hours. For me they started hurting after 2 min. These are only good for people with big ears.
