Cons: Difficulty deciding where/how to secure DVD console. Wouldn't want stationary console though.

After unsuccessful experiences with other systems, we were hesitant to purchase a new portable DVD player. This was a gift...and it's been great.

Pros: EVERYTHING, great unit, great picture
Cons: skipped sometimes

Taking a road trip with two kids under the age of two can be a scary thing for a parent to think about. Well, we were faced with a few road trips this summer and decided that a portable DVD player may help pass the time and make the trip a bit easier. We bought this unit from Target for $250 plus tax and absolutely love it. I love the fact that you can watch two DVDs at the same time and you can have several screens hooked up to the player. We also were able to connect our PS2 which was wonderful for my husband. The only problems we've had with it is that it seems to skip quite a bit unless you are a)holding it in your lap 'just so' or b)it's sitting on a pile of blankets or pillows and not being jiggled. It could just be our unit though

Cons: skips constantly, doesn't always work,and it's base is large

Christmas 2006 my daughters received these for a gift and after 2 months we had to take them back b/c one of the screens stopped working. They have worked fine until about October of this year and they are now constantly skipping on both sides. Which is very aggravating. It is very hard to keep an 18 month old entertained in the car for very long when they continue to stop and skip and sometimes just will not work.
I am very dissatisfied with this product. It cost 250.00 from Target and needs to be taken off the shelves.

Pros: price, play two different movies for kids with different interests
Cons: skipping on rough roads but resolved that and headphone volume being low regardless of headphones.

We bought this at Target for $250. I had planned to pay the $300 it was originally too.

We had a 4100 mile vacation this summer, so we bought this for the kids. It did have some skipping issues, but we solved that nearly 100% of the time. I put velcro on the bottom of the unit and attached it to the small Rubbermaid tub that fit on the floor between them in front of the seat. When the road was rough and caused it to skip we had them put the case with all the dvds on it. It really helped! I also put a bit of velcro on the back of the remotes so they wouldn't lose them. They took their little video games that plug into the tv rca jacks and they worked great too.

The only problem I've had is with all four headphone jacks. We've tried several different headphones and in order to get louder sound is to unplug it just a bit. So we did a lot of driving quietly listening to Dora/etc behind our head. Oh well, much better than listening to fighting any day.

Pros: Great picture, Reasonable volume
Cons: DVD screen ports blow out.

I bought this DVD player for my kids for Christmas 2006. It worked great fresh out of the box, but exactly 3 days later, one of the screens just lit up blue, I thought the screen was broken, but after plugging the screens into the other dvd player on the other side, I found out the port that you plug the screen into was bad. I procrastinated, and missed the 90 day warranty by 2 days by the time I went to take it back, and Target would not budge. 1 month later the other side did the same thing!
So now Im basically stuck with the kids having to share a screen, which does not go over well, or both having to pick a separate movie and wear headphones, which also can be a pain in the butt.

Pros: A very well thought out product. Versitile and works well.
Cons: Its hard to find a SAFE location to put the DVD console on trips.

Can play two diferent DVD's at the same time.
Both moitors can show the same movie, or different movies.
A game console can be hooked up to it (will play on one or both screens).
Great picture.
Good speakers.
Ability to hook up to 2 more monitors to it (total of 4)
Headphone jacks for 4 people.
Comes with two Remote Controls (one for each DVD) that work very well.
Monitors will easily strap (with supplied straps) to front seat head rest.
Monitors have a long cord.

I havent been able to find more seperate monitors.
