Pros: Price, features, performance, movie mode with zoom, RAW, large screen, rechargeable battery Cons: Noisy ISO 400, some image quality concerns, noisy zoom, slow low-light focusing at telephoto
Once I found out that Kodak has recently released a camera that combines 5-Megapixel resolution and 12x optical zoom with optical image stabilization, I knew I had to get it. In addition to the aforementioned qualities, the Kodak EasyShare P850 also ...
Pros: 12X Zoom; Many Manual Controls; Many scene selections. Cons: Pronounced shutter lag; poor battery performance; no remote control
For quite some time, I had been wanting to upgrade from my Kodak digital camera that was pretty much point and shoot, to a camera that had much more manual control capabilities. For the longest time, I had my eye on the Kodak P880. I really wanted that 8 ...
Pros: 12x Zoom, Image stabilization, 2.5" LCD, hot shoe for add on flashes. Cons: The door for removable secure digital is small and somewhat flimsy.
I have owned two Kodak Digital cameras, the DX 3900 and the DX 7590. I liked my DX 7590, but sometimes had problems when using the 10x optical zoom, especially in reduced light situations: the more zoom you use, the more the tendency to have blur in ...
Pros: Hotshoe! Can be used with studio lights. Decent quality. Cons: Tends to shoot slow shutter speeds. Easyshare software cripples all other camera wizards and explorer
I'm releasing this review a year late. I wrote it, thought it was too negative, and just forgot about it, so this article is written after becoming intimate with the camera and taking over 4000 photos with it. It's amazingly feature-laden for $379! It ...
Pros: 12X zoom, image stabilization, VGA movie mode, zoom during video, reasonable price Cons: Allows photo when flash not ready, Movies are Quicktime .MOV, slow focus
This camera has some nice features and a good price, but did not fit the need for my situation. I needed another camera to use primarily for indoor flash photography. In the end, I think Im going to sell this on E-bay and try something different. ...
Pros: Nice clean pictures, 12x zoom, 2,5 in LCD, feels good in hand. Cons: Loud zoom which activates when camera is turned on. Lack of manual control.
I just got this camera and already I am enjoying it and taking lots of pictures of my 3 cats. The flash works pretty well and despite a few distortions when using the zoom up close on what you are shooting, this camera seems to get some very clean ...
Pros: large LCD, stabilization, optional lenses, size Cons: none
Purchased brand-new on e-bay in August 2006 for about $260. Includes all retail accessories: strap, lens cover, docking station template, battery, quick wall charger (full charge in approx. 2 hours), a/v cables, usb cable, software, and manual. I ...
Pros: 12X zoom, image stabilization, VGA movies, zoom during video, large screen Cons: oh-so-painful shutter lag, very sloppy zoom control, zoom noise during video,
Wanted to move up from a 2MP Samsung to a top-end 5MP with speed, zoom and good color. Well, 2 out of 3 ain't bad I suppose but the P850 is every bit in the shutter department as slow as the Samsung (~$125 US). Sometimes you can actually count off the ...
Pros: Occasional great photo, but not often Cons: Low Quality, Noisy, Battery Life, Flash problems, Shutter lag
I bought this camera when it first came out. I didn't do a great deal comparing this with others brands, and I am now paying for that mistake. Basically, the camera takes "okay" photos. However, the lag time between pushing the shutter button and ...
Pros: long zoom, RAW, large bright LCD, nice grip. Cons: camera crashes too often.
My Kodak P850 review. You cant check the DOF because there is no DOF button. This camera only goes up to 1/1000, the C330 P&S goes up to 1/1400. Yes, the EVF is nice, but slow. Why no tilt/rotatable LCD? Why only 5.1mp? Why no ISO above ...
Pros: Excellent image stabilization, excellent color, large lcd screen Cons: doesn't stay powered on very well, long shutter lag time
At first this camera seemed wonderful, I loved the mega pixel level and the 12 zoom, but within about 5 months of owning it, it failed to stay powered on for any length of time. I bought a new battery thinking maybe it had sat on the store shelf for too ...
Pros: great optical zoom, great pictures, decent video Cons: noisy focusing, camera sometimes has issues
I bought this camera two and half years ago, and although I love it it is not without it's share of faults. The good: Great optical zoom. Decent digital zoom. Decent battery life. Good video Beautiful pictures The bad: Noisy focusing At ...
Easy to use high end camera by lindamylove ,Dec 27 '05
Pros: Easy to use, nice handling, excellent lens and zoom Cons: none found yet
This is the first digital camera I own. It delivers high quality pictures and can be used by a beginner. You can just start making pictures. At the same time it provides all the features you might need to create high end pictures under each circumstances. Make sure you shop around, there are significant price differences on the market.
Pros: Clear pictures, good action shots, easy to use Cons: Lag time between shots
This camera takes great action shots. I bought it to take pics of my little league baseball player. What great shots I've captured. The image stabilization works very well. There is a bit of lag time between shots. That's a drawback. The lighting must be adequate for good pictures. I got this camera for a good price. All in all, I've been very pleased with my purchase.
P-850 Nice but performs poorly in low light by bobingeorgia ,Dec 31 '05
Pros: Zoom, stabalized lens, Large LCD, Great menu system, easy to use out of the box Cons: Poor low light photos and no auto focus assist. on/off switch atop camera seems awkward
I will make this short and non technical. This is a great camera unless you will be using in low light situations where it performs poorly. Has difficulty focusing in low light and the photos are subpar. I bought this to replace Samsung A-7 which also performed poorly in low light. I like tho shoot photos in church sanctuaries without flash.
I believe this camera would be great if it had an autofocus assist light. Includes Kodak software ( I am undecided as to whether this is a plus or a minus - it certainly confuses me, I am used to the included software for digital photos in XP )
