Pros: Easy to use, resolution, manual controls, image quality, large LCD, fast focusing, rechargeable battery Cons: Joystick (which I dislike), slow startup and shutdown, unresponsive zooming
The 5-Megapixel Kodak EasyShare Z730 cost me $209, including shipping, which is slightly less than what I paid for the K

Pros: inexpensive, great quality for the price, 5-megapixels, 2.2 inch LCD, long battery life Cons: expensive memory cards
I picked up the Kodak EasyShare Z730 Digital Camera as a Christmas present from Best Buy on special. Selling for $179.95, it advertised that this was a $70 discount from its normal price of $249.95. The price is of course what drew me to this ...
Pros: auto-lens-cover, SCHNEIDER-KREUZNACH VARIOGON lens, fabulous color, excellent detail, price, great low light photos, lots more Cons: dials take getting used to, wish it had neck strap, no image stabilization
Koday EasyShare Z730 When I was asked to supply a couple of photos for the big city paper that is in our area for an article they did on me, I was so excited- and then I realized that my ancient digital camera did not have enough megapixels to ...
Pros: Great Picture Quality, Tons of Features, Easy to Use, Price Cons: Wheel and Joystick control takes getting used to
I purchased the Kodak Z730 as a Christmas present for my mother. My mother loves to make scrapbooks and takes tons of pictures to document each memory for her books. Until now she has insisted that the quality of digital photos is horrible and that the ...
Pros: Great picture quality. Rechargeable battery. Auto lens cover. Cons: Substandard video. Poor build quality.
A little over one year ago I was in the market for a digital camera, it was around the time of one of the major sales periods (Labor Day, I believe), and this Kodak Easy Share Z730 was at an agreeable price. I purchased it and have been fairly happy with ...
Pros: 5MP, 4x optical-zoom, HUGE array of features you may not ever even need! Affordable too! Cons: It can't cure the common cold.
I'm here to just add a simple, honest opinion on this fabulous camera. I will not get into all of the specs and features, as I do not believe people read these for that purpose, they read these reviews for hands-on proof of whether or not they should ...
Pros: Plug and Play Simplicity, fast start up, inexpensive SD memory, High quality photos. Cons: Bulky, Li-Ion battery, can be a little complex.

Pros: Excellent clarity, deep color, terrific software, reasonable online enlargement pricing, 16 very useful presets. Cons: Kodak uses the word "Night" photography and this camera cannot do it!
You get all that you pay for and more. That's what VALUE is all about. When I researched digital cameras in the price range of $200 - $250, I discovered far fewer choices than expected. I'm a member of Consumer Reports online and they gave the Z700 ...
Pros: Ease of use
Lens accepts filters, aux lens, etc Cons: After two years: none
I often hesitate to write reviews within 6 months from date of purchase. I prefer to wait until the honeymoon is over for a more objective review. In the case of the Z730, I could have written it the very first day. This camera is the best all ...
Pros: Large LCD screen. Beautiful results. Printed and .jpg photos have realistic, brilliant color. Cons: Poor quality night time scenic photos.
I've had this camera for over a year now and it takes GREAT photos. Yes, it's somewhat large but it feels like a camera. Some of the little dippy digital cameras they have now feel like they can fall apart at any moment. This one feels somewhat ...
Pros: Taught me a lesson about Kodak quality Cons: Poor controls, flimsy, Poor warranty service---none
I bought this camera less than 2 years ago. It was my second digital. It is a piece of junk! The wheel switch to turn the thing on is hard to turn and often goes beyond where you want it. A few months in I noticed I couldn't blow my pictures up to 8x10. The resolution wasn't good enough! Then the lens wouldn't come out of the body any more. No problem, under warranty right? Forget that! They couldn't honor the warranty repair because of two microscopic scratches on the battery cover. If you don't want it fixed they still charge you a big diagnosis and return fee. I decided to fix it (second mistake). Cost me $135 to repair. A few months later (just this week), same thing happened. In the trash it goes. The Canon A710 looks like a good comparable camera to me. Farewell Kodak
Pros: Good Price Cons: You get what you pay for...ugh!
After one year of owning this camera I have had 2 major problems. The first was the dial on back broke and had to be fixed under warranty (2 weeks...ugh). Then two weeks OUT of warranty the lens shield will not open fully. They want me to pay $125 for the repair...no thanks.
I have owned Canon and Sony digital cameras in the past and will try those brands again...no more Kodak for me. PLUS the Easyshare software is terrible and hijacks all of your photos after downloading.
This little camera delivers! by msfarm2 ,Jul 23 '05
Pros: Light weight, large LCD. Many extras. Fast focus and negligible shutter lag, wonderful picture quality. Cons: In 6 weeks, I have not found any.
This is my second camera, only because I took my first back. I bought a Sony DSC-H1 with (great expectations.) It was so complicated I took it back and decided to downsize, or so I thought. All I sacrificed was the Op. Zoom. This camera is very intuitive and easy to use. I can't detect any shutter lag and it powers up fast. It takes decent quality movies and has Kodak's best lens. I like the way the lens is automatically covered when it is turned off so you don't have to worry about a lens cap. It has many different modes that you can use and all work well. There are so many things on this camera that you would expect on a more expensive one. The macro mode is one that I enjoy very much and all in all this camera is a joy to use. Another bonus is you can buy extra lens to go with it if you like. Kodak's software is fairly good but I use other software that I already have. You will not be sorry if you decide to buy this Camera. I certainly would buy it again.
Pros: Works great for a couple times out of the box. Cons: Kinda expensive for a throw away.
Camera failed to power up after only six weeks. Kodak RMA process on web does not run. Nobody answers phone at company. Email to Kodak results in them sending a fee schedule for repairs. You do the math.
Pros: features, flash, built in memory, video, sound Cons: no web cam features
This 5.0 megapixel camera has great features sound, video, built in memory, and digital..the camera has the same features a SLR film camera would. I paid 157.00 new for this item and it was well worth the money..you cant get it anywhere else for that price ..expect to pay 250-299.00 for it. I had the kodak dc3800 model before this and thought to always buy a kodak digital camera for its features and lighting. Taking photos in the dark looks similar to a photo taken during the day. The photos come out like professional photography you can't beat that!
