My Canon S110 was stolen and I needed something to equal or better it. After much deliberation I realized that I wanted something that was compatible w/ my Sony vaio/handycam/dvd player and desktop. My only option was to either purchase the sony...
Pros: Great pixel and zoom in a small package! Cons: Full motion video capture runs the battery down too fast.
When my wife and I found out we were expecting our first child, one of my first thoughts was (amid the great joy and feeling completely unprepared), "We need a digital camera!". With the onslaught of first time grandparents, aunts, uncles, and ...
after seeing it in the local PC shop, i felt that for value vs. fuctioanlity it worked out as the cheapest option, since purchasing it, i can honestly say it has exceeded my expectations, it is compact, is crammed full of features and the graphically backed menu system is pleasing to the eye. i have taken many pictures to date, and am confident that i will be doing so with the very same camera, it is rubust and stylish... more than i'd asked for.

So far I've taken over 800 pics since I bought it in NYC in the start of Aug. The camera is really nice and small, and I find the picture quality is really good (says average joe, no expert user). Also, the slow shutter feature is really good for taking pictures at night without flash!
A really great no nonsense camera I would recommend to a friend.

Great "feel and look" as well as size. Seems to be high quailty. Takes terrific pictures and has a good battery life. Very nice LCD display. Easy to see due to the large size.

Having recently upgraded from an Olympus C-100 I am delighted with my choice, the Konica KD-310z. It is lightweight, fits easily and discreetly into a jacket or trouser pocket, and the picture quality is great for the snap happy type. The digital zoom is very easy to use and produces excellent results. I paid £299 at Curry's (UK) which included a 16 Meg SD card, enough memory for between 10 (very hi res) and 130 (standard 'snap' quality) pictures.
My next purchase, a 128 meg SD card upgrade, just purchased on-line from e-buyer for £44.67 inc vat and delivery.
I have seen better camera's, but you get what you pay for and I would rate the KD310z real value for money, indeed, a work colleague has also just purchased the same camera upon my reccomendation and a brief demo.
