Krups Caffe Duomo 985-42 Espresso Machine & Coffee Maker

Pros: Easily recyclable
Cons: Burned taste, potential fire hazard, not heavy enough to stop doors

Burned taste unavoidable. If I were a lawyer, I'd say Krups screwed up royally by having the switches so easily turned on by mistake. Oh wait, I am a lawyer.

Pros: Doesn't take a lot of space, looks OK.
Cons: Very easy to turn on by accident. I destroyed mine this way! Feels flimsy.

On several occasions I accidentally turned machine on while wiping down counter given the switch placement. Burned the machine up one day by doing so, could have been a hazard to the entire house! Switches flip on easily and don't make any sound and the lights indicating machine is on are very dim. Milk never heated enough anyway.

Pros: Very reliable. Makes a good cup of coffee.
Cons: There is no timer. Slide in link to lid of water holding tank breaks easily.

Makes a fair cup of coffee, but the pumps slow if you don't mind waiting. Bought because I wanted to make espresso. Has a nice stainless steel water holding unit and steamer. Makes a good cup of espresso. Sliding basket into groove is somewhat difficult.
For regular coffee the basket spring is weak and goes into pot too slowly. The glass pot is above average in strength. Lid snaps off pot for easy washing.

I like the fact this machine has lasted longer than the average coffee maker, so it is reliable.
