One of the most important features was overlooked

by m3kamikaze , May 03 '04
Pros: Small, sleek
Cons: No alphabetized phone book
I bought this phone from a friend after my old Sanyo SCP-4500 passed away. I had the Sprint service and decided to keep my phone number, so I had Sprint transfer my number over to his LG phone. I had a few problems in the transfer, but after going to the ...

Sleek, sexy, good quality.

by nolabar10der , Mar 06 '04
Pros: Great looks, solid overall build quality
Cons: Bass-ackward phone book, cheesy ringtones
I've been using the touchpoint for over a year now and it still feels 'fresh.' Unlike most phones that were released over two years ago, it still has a very modern design and could easily pass as a new model. When shopping for a cell phone I do look ...

In spite of Sprint, I still like mine

by lancekain , Feb 27 '03
Pros: Excellent size, external LCD
Cons: Bad service history with Sprint
When I first saw the Touch Point 1100 I thought to myself, that phone looks perfect. At 3.4" x 1.9" x 1.0", the phone combines the size and looks of a pager, but is a fully functional cell phone.

Features
Single band digital reception and...

Stylish and Small

by craig0207 , Dec 07 '02
Pros: Stylish, small, works well - fits in pocket easily.
Cons: Needlessly difficult to attach to chargers. Headset jack protective flap difficult to open.
The phone looks a bit dated a year after I bought it, but it is still attractive and works well. It has good reception and reasonable talk and standby time - I leave mine on all the time and it is small enough to carry comfortably in my pants pocket....

SOLID phone with a great Body! Just a few quibbles

by kenfused , Jul 05 '02
Pros: Great design, small size, useful external LCD
Cons: Odd address book, menus a bit deep, not enough letters for LCD in addressbook
I had been using a Nokia 6185 for some time, and although I loved the menus on it, I found that it was getting to be too much of a beast compared to the tiny phones everyone was carrying around. I'm glad I picked the Touchpoint 1100.

First of...

Pros: Fits in my pocket. Voice clarity. Displays incoming number without unfolding. Vibrate mode.
Cons: None.
I wanted a phone that fits into my jeans pocket, with the proven clarity and reliability of the digital SprintPCS network. And I wanted a vibrate mode.

I got exactly what I wanted. And it has been durable, riding in my jeans pocket every...

Pros: Great price, small, most of the special features i like, large easily browseable phone book

I was more than pleased with the money i spent on this phone. It is easy to use, and very portable. The display on the outside is cool for quickly checking incoming calls.

The phone book was one of the best parts. You can search by first or...

average phone for those who want to look good

by krazy! , Dec 05 '01
Pros: compact, durable, chicks dig it, ease of use, lcd on outside with caller id
Cons: single-band, no voice dialing, phone book not alphabetized, drains power searching for service
the tp1100 is a phone about looks. it's compact, aesthetically pleasing (chicks dig it), has an lcd screen with message/caller id/signal strength/battery power, and has big buttons for ease of use. entering phone numbers in the phone book is convenient...

A solid product that fits neatly in your pocket.

by albrtlee , Nov 19 '01
Pros: Well designed external LCD, very convenient form factor, good sound quality and reception.
Cons: No alphabetical sorting of phone list, digital only.
I am not a power cell phone user. I average around 180 minutes of cell phone use per month, a portion of which goes towards long-distance calls since my service plan with Sprint PCS provides “free” long distance. I own a cell phone primarily for the...

The Touchpoint 1100--The cute, small phone, "with the mouse"

by delancey , Jul 20 '01
Pros: Small, Lightweight, external caller id box
Cons: Single Band
I was first turned on to the Touchpoint 1100 about a year ago or so, after I had purchased a Neopoint 1000 to replace a broken Samsung 2000. I was reading over the specs at the Sprint PCS website and was impressed. It only weighs about four ounces and...

Pros: First and best mobile phone i ever owned
Cons: I can't think of anything wrong

My Life with the Touchpoint 1100

by kdragon , May 10 '01
Pros: small, lightweight, outer LCD display is awesome
Cons: single-band, questionable build quality
I've owned this phone for about 6 months now and have some mixed feelings about it. I'll go over some of the things I like and then tell you what bothers me about the phone. This is by no means a comprehensive review of all the features since you can...

The Incredible Shrinking Phone!

by scooterbos , May 07 '01
Pros: Lightweight and tiny; large display for its size; web access, calendar, calculator
Cons: Digital-only single-band phone (no analog roaming); may be useless in an emergency
I've owned the LG Electronics SP510, otherwise known as the Sprint Touchpoint 1100 in the US, for about three months now, and I've generally been very pleased with it. It's one of the smallest and lightest phones on the market (3.4 inches...
