I checked this dishwasher out before I bought it, and since it was a new model I was swayed by the great reviews about how well it worked. I bought it a little less than 2 years ago and was very happy with it at first. It's very quiet, it cleans well, it has a big tub, etc. A few months ago (only about 3 months past the warranty) I got the dreaded "LE" error code and it quit. I've spent the last few months trying to find someone who will service it in our area (outside of Seattle) with no success. And it's not just this model that you can't get service for, it's all LG dishwashers. I'd try repairing it myself, but I can't find a place to buy parts in this area and the one place that LG customer service could refer me to won't sell to the general public. In short, I've got a $900, 2 year old kitchen ornament. Check the reviews of this model written after 2006, then do yourself a favor and buy another brand.
