The Lexar JumpDrive Secure 128 MB: A Wonderful product for any Computer User

by brett777 , Feb 14 '04
Pros: Easy Setup, Included Software, Reliability, and Convenience
Cons: Necessity of downloading drivers for older systems.
I bought the Lexar Jump Drive Secure on a whim one day at Wal-Mart. It was on sale for $34, and I thought that the device might be useful. I didn't know the half of it. This USB Flash drive has been extremely useful to me, and I use it all the time. ...

More useful that I expected

by georget99 , Jan 21 '04
Pros: Handy portable storage, rugged, can be password protected. Survived being laundered.
Cons: Physically too large for some situations.
A USB drive is a pocket sized gadget with a USB plug on it. You plug it into a USB port on your computer and your computer thinks its a hard drive. From there you can drag and drop files to it, put it back in your pocket, and later retrieve the files on ...

Works with Windows and Mac!
by valc8252 ,Jun 11 '05
Pros: Saves in Windows and Mac formats automatically, easy installation, saves quickly, has usage light.
Cons: People keep trying to steal it from me.
I'm a homebound teacher, and because of various problems my student's home PC didn't have email, access to the internet, or a printer. Since her PC was Windows 95 and the computers at my school are Mac, saving her work to disk wasn't an option, so I usually ended up bringing it to my house and printing it to turn in. Not only was this a pain in the neck for me, but led to the teachers' having questions about whether I was editing her work before turning it in. So my husband got me this jump drive, which saves in both Windows and Mac formats, so all I had to do was save her work at her house, then give it to her various teachers to grade her papers on the drive. It saved my sanity, and her grades! It was incredibly easy to use, and nobody who utilized it ever had a problem with it.

Stress relief tool!!
by justin3680 ,Jun 16 '04
Pros: Convenience, size, cost, simply setup
Cons: Non
The Lexar 128MB jump drive has saved me tons of stress. Just recently I needed to download a file and this file was too large for a floppy disk and my computer would shut down before the download was over. With the Lexar 128MB jump Drive it made it all too simply. Insert it into a USB port, download the file to the Lexar's own drive and then transfer the file. It was quick and very efficient, exactly what I needed. Overall a very good and convenient tool.

Does Not Fit Sooo... Will Not Work
by dryicezz ,Feb 23 '05
Pros: Works in some situations.
Cons: Does not work in some situations - therefore making it limited in functionality.
If it can't fit into the USB slot because the design is too fat, then it is not a useful product. It works in some situations but not others. My suggestion: Look elsewhere for a thinner design. The plastic surrounding this device makes it too large to fit into all USB ports. And if it does not work in all situations then it is like having a floppy disk that can't fit in the drive! Search elsewhere! Think thin design!

by niteranger7 ,Apr 28 '04
Pros: Inexpensive and useful.
Cons: None
After purchasing a Dell Laptop ,without a floppy drive, I picked up one of these little buggers. It's great for transferring files, like having 100 floppy disks on a key chain.
