On the face of it, this appears to be just a shooting game, with a quite realistic looking gun at the front of the screen, and the majority of the action centred around shooting aliens.

However, this game differs from other first person shooting games, where the object is to reach a destination and shoot opponents along the way. You have to solve problems, and think strategically, in order to be successful, especially when playing a co-operative two player game.

This makes it the best of this type of game.

Many people look for a game that is not too hard, and not too easy, that would be HALO. HALO is not your average shoot-em-up video game... Theres more, including cool weapons, alians that are fun to shoot, and many cool levels. I had fun using it, I beat all the levels in normal and legendary. I hate nothing about it, and I bought it because my friends said that it was cool. I love shooting the little alians.

Pros: Great Graphics, weapons and vehicles, Hilarious bad guys, incredible multiplayer mode.
Cons: Can't use the enemies vehicles. The sequel isn't out yet!

The makers at Bunjie studios really outdid themselves in their smash hit, Halo. The multiplayer mode is extraordinarily bug-free, the single player mode is entertaining, and retains its playability, actually getting better the more often it's played! If you enjoy excellent quality of graphical content, seemless gameplay, short loading time, intriguing storyline, entertaining characters, believable and unique weapons, high attention to detail, and unbelievable entertainment that just keeps getting better, then this game is definitely for you.

this game buries bond doom and all the other first person shooter games because you just can't put the dang controller down for even a cigarette. plus you can play co-operative, teams, and so many other.

there has to be another thing thats better than this game, oh yah halo 2 which comes out oct 9th.

When I first got Halo, I thought this would be the best game ever. It was for like two months. Then I beat the game and that was it. The game got boring. I tried playing it on a harder level but it was still the same. The multiplayer is fun for about five minutes. Then it's like every other multiplayer first person shooter game. The levels on one player are long but it seems like your going in circles cause it all looks the same. If I were you I would rent it or buy it preowned so that you are not disappointed with it.

Pros: It keeps me entertained for hours and i never get tired of it.
Cons: They have taken so long for the Halo2 to come out.

Halo is my favorite game for x-box, i cant wait for Halo2 to come out! Buy this game and you wont regret it. The graphics are great and it even has a multi-player for all your friends to battle it out against each other! The more the better!

Halo from a platform multiplayer perspective is a truely fun game. the missions are detailed and entertaining
the music is mooded exactly right and the missions are fun.
though some get repeated towards the end its a wholey fun.
detailed graphics with alien battling and lots of voice acting a all out rightious game.
the real fun is team play with more than one X-box, the very best fun. Capture the flag or all out death match. The physics are great with fully 3D tank, offraod(warthog), hover-craft(ghost). though only donw side is that there are no flying vehicles in multiplayer gameplay, other than that...months of play...really, with friends and team play, you can have that much gaming fun.

Know i am not one for video games nut this game is amazing..the graphics are top notch the story line is great..the controls are easy to learn and easy to remember.I started with this game because my boyfriend was really into it and one day he asked to play...i didn't want to because normally i don't like games but when i started playing this i couldn't help but wanna keep playing and killing those ugly aliens after about 8 straight hours i had to stop playing but the next day i was back there playing again...this is a great game and halo 2 is only a few months away 11-9 so if your looking for a great game at a great price look no further than halo on xbox worth the 20 bucks and remember halo 2 is coming out really soon...happy gaming

Best game I have played yet ever. Best graphics very pretty game never wanted it to end. Beat it at every level at least a dozen times. I keep waiting for the second one to come out. The game does things you had no idea that were going to happen. Great for playing with friends, story, and twists.

Halo: Combat Evolved really has evolved gaming. From the begging we knew that this game would rock our world. I don't think that ANYONE expected it to out sell any other game on the xbox console 4 years straight. The Halo multiplayer is the god of all games. From vehicles to CTF, Halo has it all. The game play of multi-player may be a little bit choppy, (especially with the lag from XBC, www.xbconnect.com) Halo's multi player will never get old even after the release of Halo 2 (Nov. 9th). Halo's single player campaign took everyone by surprise. The gameplay of campaign is AMAZING and the plot is very good. The high point of Halo's campaign would be that even the best of the best have a challenge when they go into Legendary mode. Halo is the BEST game ever and I recommend it to ANYONE and EVERYONE even if you are a girl, or even if you stink at shoot em' ups.

Halo is a great game with good graphics and it almost seems like you are going around and kiiling aliens. The flood are anoying. The little octipie-like things keep spawning in to the big guys. But if you have a shotgun it is easy to kill flood. The sword eletes are hard to kill because one wipe of their sword and your dead. The Warthog, the Scorpion tank, Banshee, and Gost are fun to drive. And Multiplayer is fun to.

This is a game that will be remembered forever as a game with stunning graphics a great storyline and great pick up and play controls. Invite 3 friends over and multiply the fun by 3 as u will be screaming at ur friends because of the adrealine rush u get by going in to battle with ur friends.

I bought Halo after reading the great reviews with some skepticizm. Turns out, it is one of the best games I have ever seen. The detail throughout is amazing. I sometimes just wander around in the game and look at the scenery. It has countless multiplayer options. The only thing I have to complain about is that I couldn't put the game down until I finally beat it. Don't buy it if you have other things that you need to be doing.
