Pros: Greatest windows security ever, easy to use, lots of new features over older versions. Cons: Drains more system resources than old versions, may not really be needed.
Windows XP Home edition with Service Pack 2 is the same Windows XP Home released three years ago, patched with Service Pack 2 applied, for better or for worse. The first thing that must be said is that you do NOT need to purchase Windows XP Home if ...
Pros: It's Windows, slightly more secure Cons: It's Windows, still insecure
My op is on the OEM version. ###Intro### Windows is probably the most successful operating systems, software that runs software, ever. Naturally, because of this most software is for Windows, but also most viruses/hackers are too. ###The ...
Pros: Windows XP with PROS?! Okay, so it's compatible with everything... Cons: Pokey after some time, Virus Prone, unstable...
The Era of Windows XP came around the time Windows 2000 was just catching on... I myself had been a Windows ME user (Ugh) for nearly a year by the time XP came out. Being myself, I skeptically took Windows XP as what most Microsoft products were -- bad. ...
Pros: Good security, one of the best OS out there Cons: None to my information

Pros: Good looking interface, easy to use Cons: Bad security
The first thing I would like to say is that Windows XP Home Edition is a lot better the Windows 95/98 operating systems. But the Operating System still has many security flaws that the service pack 2 didn’t cover up. Out of the three major operating ...
Pros: Reinforces my appreciation for linux Cons: Life is too short for MS Windows
The fact that I'm writing this review from a 1999 233mhz PII laptop running Mandriva 10.2 should give you a clue. I've had a 64bit Athlon Desktop PC for two months and can't stand to boot it up in XP. I only get home on weekends, but every bootup ...
Pros: Fast, Reliable, Well Built, Stable Cons: Picks up un-needed information, needs a good security software to protect behind it
Windows XP is a very fast operating system. Without hogging up your RAM this operating system loads what you want it to in little wait. I bought this product shortly after it came out in order to upgrade to the new windows model. Don't let this ...
I'll start with the good news. Windows XP is a tremendous improvement over the old Win 9x series of OS's. It is visually attractive, boasts more features, is easy to use, and, most importantly, is much more stable than previous versions of Windows. The ...

Pros: Nice interface, runs smoothly, fast, reliable, works well, no bugs, familiar Cons: SP 3 is more secure, it costs money, one generation behind Vista

Pros: Great graphics, Multiple desktops and everything else! Cons: None!
I had windows 98 and when I first used this I just said on word WOW! With windows xp home edition you get multiple desktops for multiple users! The graphics was a big change all I say is: BUY IT!
I'm not sure why--the program is very intuitive--but I don't like it. Could it be because it freezes up at least once during each session? Whatever--the 2E of '98 worked better, and when my new Dell arrived with XP and I got the drift, I found myself wishing I had kept the 98 SE software.
Pros: The fact that it seems to think for you and easy navigation to programs. Cons: No spreadsheet program built in. Only comes with a document program.
I have found that Windows XP is very useful. I like many things about it and have found my computer time much easier. I enjoy the fact that Windows XP does most of the work for you. You can navigate through things much easier and find things much quicker. The programs that are used the most are conveniently listed in the start up menu and allows for easy access. I acquired the Windows XP when I had my computer built for me. It so far has been the best Windows I have worked with.
Pros: It's so automatic. Cons: It's not one, if it is i haven't came upon it yet.
If I had the choice, I would choose XP over 98. It's better established and up-to-date. I love how it's so automated and you don't have to do everything manually. It warns you every time when something is not up-to-date.
