Pros: Quick, easy, consistently good coffee. Sleek styling - machine looks great in the kitchen. Cons: Water container needs filling from the tap (i.e. machine can't be plumbed in).
I have owned my coffee machine for 3 years and bought it originally because Miele has a reputation for unsurpassed quality. I love this machine, it is extremely reliable, we use it every day and on average make about 5 or 6 coffees daily, but sometimes ...

Pros: Convenient and delicious. Completely customizable. Cons: Be more convenient to have it plumbed.
I have had two of these and can't imagine life without it. I suspect anyone who does not get their desired cup of coffee has not programmed the unit to their specifications. It takes a few minutes to set up then you get to enjoy the best cup of coffee ...

Great - if you like warm coffee
by vabrmtns ,Oct 13 '06
Pros: It works. Cons: Machine is noisy. Coffee is weak and only warm.
I bought this expecting a great cup of coffee - one cup at a time. It seems to work fine - kind of noisy. But the coffee is only warm. Regardless of that stupid McDonald's lawsuit, I like coffee really hot - the way Starbucks and McDonald's (Bless its heart) still serves it. I called the company and they sent out the service technician to replace some kind of sensor, which he did, but without any resulting improvement. I plan to contact the company again and see if there is anything else to be done. As it stands, I make the coffee with the Miele, then heat it up in the microwave. Not the procedure I anticipated when I spent big bucks for this machine. In addition, the coffee is kind of weak which I think is a result of the fact that the water is not hot enough. It takes 200 deg. water to properly brew coffee. The water coming out of this machine was 135 deg. I tested it with my candy thermometer.

Take the extended warranty !!!
by turcot ,Nov 17 '06
Pros: Ease of use,
Excellent Coffee
Cons: Coffee could be hotter,
Reliability,
After sales service from dealer,
I have owned my Miele for 2 years and if I add up the time it has spent out for repairs, it has only been in my kitchen for about half that time. The repair service at Trail Appliance in Edmonton is deplorable. At this time it is in for it's second major repair and IF is is ready when they say it should be it will have been in for about one month. Due to my past dealings with them, I expect it to be longer. The first time it was away for eight months. That is a long time to have an empty space in the wall of your kitchen. As mentioned the coffee could be hotter but 30 seconds in the microwave solves that problem. If you do decide to buy one I strongly advise you to buy the extended warranty and do not throw out your old coffee maker, you will be needing it.
