A genuine 'lost' classic

'Miss Believer'... Cons: At an hour possibly a tad overlong
When rumours of singer Crispin Hunt's resurfacing began to circulate in 2004 the NME were moved enough to call him "one of the great lost geniuses of British popular music". This may seem to be little more than hilarious hyperbole, but to a select few, the Longpigs were something of a minature national treasure. This, their second album, may have 'stiffed' on release and is only now being revered by an increasing number of music lovers. Now, many of my close friends are quick to heap masses of praise on the LP. Musically exciting and lyrically dynamic. This is a real gem.
