Pros: Convenient and Addictive Cons: Dim Screen color, but very usable
I just got my m505 a week ago. I bought it directly from Palm because I wanted the red m505. This was a mistake. They screwed up my order several times and charged me each time. I was determined to return it as soon as it was delivered.
Pros: Expandable, Internet-Capable in Brilliant Color Cons: None!
The Palm M505 handheld with rich 65,000 color support is customizable thanks to two expansion features. The standard secure Digital/MultiMediaCard slot and the Palm Universal Connector let you add storage, applications, content, and add-ons, like a...
Pros: expansion capability, stylish and lightweight, reasonable price Cons: screen needs to be brighter, battery life can be improved
I got the m505 as a gift from one of my friends and I use it for everything. If you aren't clear about what PDA's can do then you are missing out on A LOT. I keep track of everything, even do my work on my palm.
Pros: The Form Factor (size, weight, screen etc) Cons: No Built-in Wireless Network (not even BlueTooth)
Unable to get the e-mail to work.
The m505 is my second Palm PDA, so obviously I like Palm products. I got this (my wife bought it for my birthday) just after it had come out. In short - I really like this PDA. In more detail, I really like all that this model is capable of doing ...
Pros: Slim/Lightweight, Color Screen, Rechargeable, USB, Palm OS 4, Expansion Cons: Slight dim screen, no hardware for SD/MMC clot
The Palm m505 is what I believe to be the best, or one of the best, Palm OS devices. The m505 has a modern, redefined Vx look, and while keeping it in a tiny package, have added an extra expansion slot as well as a color screen! Many more minor and major...
Pros: SD card expansion slot,
USB Universal connector,
Better case buttons,
Vibrating alarm, Cons: Not many software improvements in Palm OS 4.0
I compared the m505 to my compaq iPAQ and Palm IIIc over the weekend, and had some comments to make (along with everybody else) about the controversial screen issue.
I compared the iPAQ and the 505 side-by-side, and without the backlight on...
Pros: Color, Lightweight, Tons of Storage. Cons: Bad pixelation, expensive.
People keep complaining the screen is not bright enough, but I find it okay, and that will be your only, if any, complain on this machine. Actually, the screen looks great under sunlight or bright environment, which unlike the earlier palm, you have to...
Pros: Small and Solid. Vibrating Alarm. Very Long Battery Life. Cons: Screen may be Dim in a few situations.
The most important advantage for the M505 is its very compact and solid design. It's small and sturdy enough to keep with you at all times without being obtrusive or worried about damaging it. The screen is always bright enough when ambient light is...
Pros: Size, color abilities, expandable, sleek design. Cons: Screen could be a little brighter.
I'd never used a handheld before I bought the palm m505. (Playing an occasional game on someone else's handheld doesn't count.) So this review may seem basic to more experienced users. If you're new to PDAs like I am, I've tried to include useful...
Pros: Great readability, small convenient size, and fast! Cons: A bit expensive, but worth the money!
A few have complained that the color on this model Palm is dim. I can tell you that mine is not dim at all. In fact, I was pleasantly surprised at how bright it is both with the backlight off and with it on! Mine was made in the USA, and I understand...
Pros: Slim Form Factor, Ruggedized Casing, SD Slot, 4.7 Ounces, Backlit Graffiti Area Cons: No I/O Devices for SD Slots, Complaints of Washed out Colors, Dust Issues
Palm is getting closer with the Palm M505 handheld. Weighing in at an incredible 4.7 ounces, keeping the Palm V series form factor while adding a color screen and SD expansion is certainly an impressive engineering feat. Palm has packed the standard...
Pros: Compact size, stylish looks, lots of software, removable storage (mmc cards). Cons: Screen could be brighter
I have been using the M505 for about 4 months now and I must say I have really grown to like it. I upgraded from a IIIX and don't regret it for a second. The size is great, the battery lasts and lasts, and there is so much software available it is...
Pros: color screen, lots of memory, sd slot, and expansion slots, numorous others Cons: none
this is the first day that i have had my m505 and its better than i thought it would be. the screen is excelent even without the light on. i am typing this on the m505, WITH the light on, and let me tell you, its gorgeous. it is bright, crisp and...
Pros: Small, Thin form factor, Long-Life Rechargable Battery, Mac Support, FAST USB Connection, Brilliant Color Screen Cons: Slightly Dim Screen, Not very many SD/MMC Cards currently available
The Palm m505 is Palm's stab at the high-end handheld market. I was amazed at the high quality of the design, and many 'optional' extras, such as a leather cover, includes in the box. Another plus for me was out-of-the-box Mac support, because I use the...
Pros: Expandability. Color. Price Cons: Bit hard to read in bright light
Let's face it. Most of us use our PDAs as GameBoy for adults. I keep my appointments and contacts but also love to play games and read content from avantgo. I upgraded from an m100 to this about a year ago and I'm still very happy with it. I carry it...
