I have used the Treo 600, 650, and now the 700. I must say this one is probably the worst of the 3. Even with the huge memory expansion from the 650, this device has a lag time like no other. I drop calls, and even worse, when I hang up a call, etc... there is a delay of well over a few seconds. By the time I've pressed "hang up" 2 or 3 times, the device memorizes all screen touches, and by that time, it's delved into my contacts list and either calls another number or asks me if I want to page someone. I can't tell when the device accepts a screen touch or not. What an investment for such poor performance. My new Samsung SCH-i760 can't get here too soon.

I had the 700wx for about a week after using my HP Ipaq for years with great success. While using my Ipaq and Handspring Visor Prior to that, I had accumulated 2000+ client names in the database. When I went to access them in thhe 700 wx,sorting by company, the unit locked up for over a minute, making the unit inadaquate for a user looking for a phone number to dial from your database.

I ended up getting the TREO 755P (Palm OS) version and like it much better....But it, too cannot search and provide a listing of contacts grouped under a single particular company that you may just happen to do a lot of business with.

So essentially, both of these tools are good for the user that searches by name, but until the designers enhance the OS to improve the trunkate and search function by company, I would be skeptical of the search capability by company function.

Phone functionality is fine, Bluetooth is fine, internet capability is fine, as well.

Pros: Does everything I need: phone, calendar, address book, Internet.
Cons: Small screen compared to the PDA it replaced. Call quality sucks--is it Sprint?

I have had the Treo 700WX for over six months now. I am on the second phone. I replaced the original because it kept "unselecting" the Bluetooth device, dropping calls, and generally poor performance. The new device isn't any better.

I have spoken with other Treo 700WX owners about call quality and they seem pleased. They were Verison customers, I am on Sprint. This is for Metro Atlanta service. I will cut the Treo some slack; although other Sprint phones seem to have good signal.
