Pros: Full featured 5.8 GHz Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum phone. Cons: Phone volume erratic after a few months of use, due to premature battery failure.
Update 1/20/07 Battery failure after about six months. OEM replacement costs around $18. Found an AT&T branded battery for $10. I find it unacceptable that an OEM replacement battery costs almost half the cost of the phone. Because of the premature ...

Pros: Good quality, basic cordless with enough features. Low price. Cons: I have had no complaints with my phone.
The KX-TG5621S is a good basic phone if you don't need a lot of bells and whistles. You will get caller ID, Call waiting ID, 5 redial memories, and a phonebook, but that's about it. The handset speaker phone function is fine, but I've seen several of ...

Pros: The phone has some good features. Cons: Poor customer service. Leave you on hold 15 minutes/no apology.
In 2006 I purchased a Panasonic KX-TG5621S cordless phone that has many good features. We replaced the original battery and both batteries had a long life. I purchased another battery in April 2009 from Panasonic Service and Technology Company. It ...

Poor volume
by basnorm ,Feb 05 '07
Pros: Neat design. Many useful features. Range is satisfactory Cons: Voice volume is not satisfactory. Background hum
A previous Panasonic cordless phone having failed I tried this model. I may be out of luck but voice volume, even when set at high, is poor. At times have to strain to hear.
Has many desirable features and reputable name as manufacturer. Range is good.

Interference Out the Wazoo!
by tulsatb ,Feb 13 '07
Pros: Nice size Cons: Bad interference
I have two Panasonic cordless phones. This was to replace the oldest one on which it had become difficult to hear the caller. The interference on this phone was phenomenal. I have experienced absolutely none on the 3 Panasonics I have owned over the past 20 years except for this one. The newest phone was connected exactly where the old one has been for 12 years. I was looking forward to having a 5.8GHz phone to alleviate any possibility of problems with routers and have always bought Panasonic. This one is going back.

The worst phone I have ever had
by espasojevic ,Jul 18 '07
Pros: Looks Cons: Everything else
I bought this phone in December 2006 in BestBuy. It was working OK for a while, around 2 months (although income volume wasn't that great), and then I started getting some permanent humming sound, that made my phone calls almost impossible. I went to BestBuy, and they were kind enough to give me the same device/model instead. Again, after 1-2 months, the same thing. I was thinking that it might be that those 2 phones were part of the same batch. So I went to FutureShop, bought the same phone, and returned the one from BestBuy the same day (I know, I'm a bad boy). Guess what? After 2 weeks the same thing. Obviously there is some problem with this model. Unfortunately only then I started reading reviews about this phone, and I learned that bunch of other people had the same issue. Who would have thought that brand like Panasonic would have such a crap of product! Right now, this phone is in the phone repair store, and I'm waiting to see what's gonna happen next...

Nice Cordless Phone
by nhgeek ,Sep 03 '06
Pros: Good cordless phone with lots of features Cons: none
We are really happy with this phone - good range, really good sound, good price, huge number of features, bordering on silly.
Our drop-dead requirements were 5.8Ghz, decent range, speakerphone and caller ID on the handset.
Nice to have features include: pickup-answer - When its ringing - simply taking it out of the cradle answers - you don't have to hit a button.
It also automatically goes off hook a few minutes after a missed phone call to "listen" for the stutter dial tone meaning you have voice mail. Then it blinks for voice mail.
( both of these features are programmable )
You can also save incoming caller-id into the phonebook just by hitting the "save" soft-button.
There's a light at the base of the antenna that blinks when ringing, and you can even program its color. You can also choose the color and audio ring based on caller ID.

Worked well for about a year, and then...
by squeege98 ,Jan 04 '09
Pros: Easy to operate. Cons: Volume is too low to clearly hear normal conversation.Volume enhancer does not help.
I carefully researched cordless phones and decided that the Panasonic KX-TG 5621 was the best one to buy. It worked quite well for about a year, then the volume became so low that I could not use it. I was told to replace the battery at a cost of about $20 and that might fix the problem. Instead, I unplugged it and took it to the attic. I bought a Uniden for $29.00 and am satisfied, so far.
Look elsewhere for a cordless phone. Keep away from Panasonic.
