Pros: Amazing capacity, large turntable, intuitive controls Cons: Fingerprint magnet, reputation for a short life.
This is going to be a slightly bitter review. See, this is not the product I suggested, not the product I wanted. I scoured Epinions in search of product reviews, and found what I felt was the best microwave oven available in our price ...

Pros: Inverter technology is great Cons: Cheap parts and/or design problems with the door latch make this a dubious purchase.
After 3 years of light use, the door lock malfunctioned, which meant even at the end of the cooking/heating cycle, the oven would power on when you opened the door to get your food. I e-mailed Panasonic about this, because having the power come on ...

CAUTION! Poor quality plastic door opening mechanism that breaks
by jonnisue ,Oct 13 '07
Pros: None Cons: Door-opening mechanism to hard to push. Vividly shows every fingerprint on front.
Door button is so hard to push that the right side of the oven moves backward when pushed, requiring one to straighten the oven again! Plastic door-opening-lever piece, behind the door button, broke at 2 years. The latch of the door is so hard to push up that it caused this small piece to break and we are having to replace it ourselves. (Cost of just the little piece of plastic is $10.00!!) If we took it into a service center, the cost would be $50.00. Every time you push the door button, you need to hold onto the oven or it slides backward due to the difficulty of the latch opening the door. Poor quality microwave door-opening device! Also, vividly shows every fingerprint on number panel and door, requiring frequent cleaning.

Terrible piece of junk!
by chinsb ,Aug 05 '08
Pros: Size Cons: Breaks down after 5 weeks!!!!!!!!!!
We bought this microwave at Bestbuy after doing some research into what's a dependable model. We paid $165 on June 30. Today is Aug 12, and the microwave broke already! We don't abuse our appliance and are basically gentle users. Today I tried to heat up some frozen bread for 10 sec, and it goes on for 1 sec and turns off by itself. The turntable no longer turns. I tried all the other features, and the same thing happens - it turns on for a sec or 2, and then lights out. What a piece of junk!

Funny Display
by epinthaals ,Jun 22 '09
Pros: Appears to be good value.
Good room inside the microwave. Large 16" diameter turntable. Cons: Display has strange reflections above eye level of the display. Latch is noisy.
Purchased this unit yesterday.
Noticed that the display is most easily read if you eyes are level with the display or lower. Above the level of the display are strange reflections which make the display hard to read. This display viewing is independent of room lighting. This may be a good choice for an over-the-range unit, but this is a counter top. Only one that likes the display is our child.
Purchased this unit from ratings from consumer reports for Panasonic Inverters. We'll see. Price at Best buy was $165 but they dropped the price to match the online price, $156, without any quibbling.
This unit has a large 16" diameter turntable. Our last microwave had the same 1.8 cu. ft. but had only a 14" diameter turntable.

Yes, it's a piece of junk.
by jjfritz ,Jan 10 '09
Pros: It can heat water. (But not boil it.) Cons: It refuses to completely cook food.
I bought the NN-H965 model from Best Buy. The sensor shuts the oven off before the food is completely cooked and no matter how many times I try to restart the oven, and no matter which settings I use, the sensor shuts the oven off. It refuses to finish cooking food!
