Pros: Good price, screen, battery life, charging time Cons: transferring on firewire, bad recording quality in dim light
I bought this camcorder last year around February and it worked well until September of 2005.I brought my PV GS9 on every family vacation and outing and it worked exceptionally well. It charged in an hour and the battery, for me, lasted an average ...

Awesome Camcorder For The Price
by onlymee36 ,Apr 25 '07
Pros: Compact size, Nice features, Good video quality in good lighting, PRICE !! Cons: Low light recording quality. No color view finder.
We upgraded recently from an old Panasonic VHS camcorder to this digital one. So far we are very happy with our purchase. The video quality in low light conditions is minimal. I just wish I would have asked more questions before I purchased this. The salesman gave me this whole low light enhancer pitch on the camcorder...so automatically I thought it came with an LED light ... like my old one. Wrong! Oh well... I still would have bought this camcorder anyways. We just totally love it. Like I told my wife... why own a camcorder if all it is going to do is sit there in the case without using it. And thats just what our old one did . It was just too big and clumsy to take with you everywhere. But this lil mini palmcorder is just the ticket. You can take it anywhere. It is so small and compact to what we where used to using before. We Will be taking it everywhere with us. The digital video quality in good light conditions is awesome. Just wish it also had a color viewer also.

Decent miniDV Camcorder (not for night shooting)
by mirceaion ,Jan 03 '05
Pros: Small, clear picture, 20x optical zoom, effective wind cut feature Cons: Not for night shooting, cannot charge battery when the camera is powered
Nice crisp image, 20x optical zoom is very handy, small so you can carry it in a pocket. Though you can shoot int the night is not a reason for you should buy this camcorder. Overall satisfied with the product as I use it just for amateur shooting.

For the price: FANTASTIC
by billhcmp405 ,Jan 21 '05
Pros: Small, compact, 20x zoom, very easy to use. Cons: Considering the price: NONE
Since I already have a Panasonic NV-DS25, I bought this as a second camera, and it is perfect in that role.
I paid $299 at Circuit City.
My remote for the other Panasonic also works with this camera.
Although the resoulution in low light is not great, it is acceptable especially when compared to my other camcorder.

by narcyz ,Aug 23 '04
Pros: Small and compact.
Good picture quality.
Cons: Sound quality is bad when transferring into computer. (noise, statics)
It looks nice, and it small and compact. Quality of the picture is good, but sound sux when transferring to computer. It has a lot of statics and noises. I have returned it and got JVC GR-D33US which is about the same price and i have no problems so far with the sound quality.
