We got this unit as an emergency to replace a broken Roadmate 760 unit. Imagine that the Roadmate ceased to function the morning that we were leaving for a 600 mile trip to the New England area. I was refunded fully for the Roadmate760 because it failed after only 2 months so I chose this unit instead. The best part is that I saved 100$ by doing this (Magellan was 799$ and this one was 699$).
The unit is really simple to operate, it contains the whole North America preloaded inside it's 2GO flash drive. You just have to plug it in, enter a destination (address, point of interest, city, zipcode) and it will navigate you there easily.
It features an auto remapping feature (in case you have to go off the course), you can choose between 2D/3D view and it can even be used to speak to the phone via its bluetooth connectivity function. It also contains an internal rechargeable battery, so you can take the unit with you to program it conveniently inside your house.
I just came back from this trip and it performed flawlessly. Get one now, this unit is really worth it!

Pros: Looks nice Cons: No map updates
Have owned for 2 years - often takes me out of the way. Wants to take me off of interstate onto secondary road, then back on interstate again regardless of fast route/short route setting.
I have owned Pioneer products for years and have always been happy with them...until now. Paid $500 for it in March 2007 from a high end stereo store. The map was generated in 2006 and was very outdated from the get go.
