Pros: Convenience- no bottles to clean and sterilize. Cons: Bottles don't seal completely; Cap hard to pop off.
Babies are demanding. They take gobs of your time, leave less money for entertainment, and require constant care and supervision. Feeding is one of the many chores associated with babies but this is one area where the task has been simplified over the ...
Pros: These bottles are awesome as far as disposible liner bottles go Cons: The disposible Liners cost a mint over time
I had ample choices when deciding which bottle was best for my baby girl, but when I was born the only really good bottle you could get was the Playtex Original Nurser. My mother used these for myself and siblings and they are still one of the ...
Pros: Easy to Clean, Convenient, Pack and Go! Cons: Occasional leaks, Lids tough to pop off
Boo-Hoo for Ba-Ba I'm no expert, but it isn't hard to figure out that transitioning between nursing and bottle feeding can be difficult for infants. Many bottles are made with stiff, rigid, silicone nipples and unless you have ...
Pros: Comfortable to hold, easy to clean, collapsible liners Cons: Can be expensive in the long run, liners can "pop" out of place and leak
During my research-o-rama, bottles weren't really a high priority. I was planning on breastfeeding and *maybe* supplementing with a bottle of breastmilk during the night occasionally (so my husband could know the joy of arising at 4 am). The only ...
Pros: Fast, easy clean-up; No boiling bottles to sterilize them Cons: Cost, for some; Sending child to bed with a plastic liner, for others.
About two years ago, I had my first born. Being that we were in the military, I was a little scared. I had no idea what to do with an infant, was deathly afraid of having to take care of one on my own, and just wanted my Mommy. I would go to the store ...
Pros: Less washing. Cons: remembering to buy liners
I had planned on nursing, but after various problems the doctor told me I had to pump and put the breastmilk in bottles, so I went shopping. People told me that babies may prefer one bottle over another, and to try a few out before buying lots. I ...
Pros: Less gas and sitting up, easy clean up, great nipple design, lots of colors Cons: buying the liners every week
As a mother of three and and auntie to many, I've bought, used, and seen just about every bottle made in the last ten years! By far the Playtex are the best out there! This is an awesome product that I used on all my kids, and recommended them to family ...
Pros: easy to use, baby gets less gas Cons: liners can be expensive. getting air out is somewhat difficult
I love the ease at which you can make a bottle using this product. The milk or formula warms up quickly and you can dispel the air so the baby doesn't get as much gas as with a traditional bottle. Plus you can use different nipples which can help you find the nipple that suits your baby. easy transition from bottle to breast, and back again. Have not had any nipple confusion.
Pros: Can remove air from bottle, light, compact design. Less bottle washing. Cons: If you aren't careful, the bottles can leak a little from the nipple area.
After a few weeks of trying 5 different kinds of bottles after bringing my son home, I decided I liked these the best. You are able to push all the air out of the bottle before beginning to feed- very important to us because of my son's colic. These bottles also take up less space and are very light. A box of the Drop In soft formed liners can cost $5-$10/box but I rinse them, let them dry and every week I wash, sanitize, thoroughly dry, and reuse them (the material is very sturdy). Or you can recycle them. Now I don't have 7 bottles to wash everyday and no huge collection of bottles and parts overflowing in my cupboard. The bags aren't as good as the soft formed liners. I bought the Albertson's generic brand soft formed liner and was satisfied with the quality compared to the Platex Drop Ins.
Less time cleaning = more time with baby! by jmamaof1 ,Mar 26 '07
Pros: Easy, quick Cons: none
Due to the chemical leaching reports, I felt I had to find a new bottle system for my baby. I came across the Playtex Original Nurser and decided to try it out. Well, I wish I would have used this system from day one! Not only were they so easy to use (and I had no issue with leaks whatsoever), they were also so easy to clean! That means less time spending cleaning and prepping bottles and more valuable time to spend with baby! Now, to me, that is priceless! Kudos to the Playtex Nurser!
