Pros: decent workout, does what I need it to do Cons: cheaply made, tries to fall apart, heart rate measurement cumbersome
I've owned one of these for about 5 years, and paid roughly $400 for it. While it's performed well, I don't think it was worth what I paid. The assembly was a bit of a chore, but I was expecting that. Tab A into Slot B, tighten with provided hex ...
Pros: Good basic functionality Cons: Does not last
He could have been writing my story. When you first get this machine, you'll be happy for a couple of weeks, maybe even months. It starts out as being whisper quiet, has some nice controls like magnetic tension, and four smart workouts. If you use the ...
Really the title should be enough to ensure you RUN AWAY from this machine. I purchased it at Sears back in July 2003 for about $400. I also opted for the extended 3 year warranty (very very glad I did) for an extra $70. I use this thing religiously, ...
Pros: It might not break in the 90 day warranty period Cons: it will break eventually and repeatedly
I am on my THIRD Proform elliptical trainer in 2 years. I wouldn't recommend this product or anything by Proform to anyone. Before you ask yourself what kind of idiot I am to be on my third go-around of a product I wouldn't recommend, read the rest of ...
Pros: Price, good workout if it was built better Cons: Squeak, Rattle and Roll...blown resistance motor after 3 weeks.
I had this thing for three weeks and returned it. The first couple of days is worked fine, it was nice and quiet and seemed to give a good workout. Although being 6 foot, I had some occasional problems hitting my knees on the poles and remaining in a ...
Extremely Low Quality, worth less than you pay no matter what price by jumblies ,Feb 09 '07
Pros: reasonable price point, thankfully available repair parts, though no service. Cons: fragile, abysmal customer service, poorly engineered, ugly.
I have owned a pro form elliptical trainer for the last four years. I am six-foot and weigh 200 pounds. The machine is broken on a yearly basis, with repetitive failures of the crank. I have written the company, sent pictures, and ordered the replacement part from them on a yearly basis since I've owned the machine. Fortunately, this experience has persuaded me and many others not to buy another piece of equipment from them or their parent company Nordic track.I have even sent the crank back in for them to examine on two occasions, because it is clearly an engineering flaw, and they do not care.
The resistance level is consistently to low to achieve the target heart rate.
I emphatically discourage anyone considering a pro form product to consider the other options. Unless of course, you enjoy frustration in your life.if they gave it away for free, it would still be worth less than what you paid.
waste of money on poorly designed product by chrisdec ,Apr 04 '04
Pros: none Cons: loud, not built to last
Poorly designed product, it seems that all CardioCross products do not have a good design in how they attach their upright handles to the base, leading to a slight sway from side to side, this over time causes the fly wheel to become out of balance. Their solution, but the new 1080.
