Pros: Controls frizz and fly-away hair; adds beautiful shine and softness Cons: some may think price is too steep
Hair care products have become a hobby for me over the years. I always stick to salon quality products, but for a long time there weren’t very many products to suit my needs. I have very, naturally curly hair and tend to get dry scalp if I use anything...
Pros: smooth, shiny, frizz free HEALTHY hair Cons: price will be a factor for many
I have medium length, thin to medium thickness, color treated blonde hair (naturally dark blonde). It is naturally wavy and I like to blow dry it sleek and straight. In the past, I used John Frieda's Dream Cream on my blown-dry hair in order to tame and ...
Pros: IT really works. Cons: Don't use to much or you might as well start over.
I bought this product hoping that it would give me a nice shine to my hair. I have long hair that is a bit dull from over processing at the beauty salon. It doesn't look to bad, and isn't to over processed, but it does have some damage. I wanted ...
Pros: Does its job perfectly, no smell, does not leave hair feeling greasy Cons: Expensive
I was first introduced to this product by my friend about a year ago. My friend has the longest most beautifully straight and shiny black hair I've ever seen. I think she might be able to do one of those Pantene commercials. Anyway, she recommended this ...
Pros: Smooths the frizzies without weighing down hair Cons: none
Because my hair is dry and prone to frizzy, wispy ends, I'm always on the prowl for good smoothing products. Redken Glass Smoothing Complex has been a long-standing favorite of mine.
The problem I frequently encounter with anti-frizz products...
Pros: humidity blocker Cons: pricey, didn't really work
I've always trusted Redken products (after the use of Redken Deep Fuel Deep Conditioning Packets - check out my review!). They are pricey at times...but for my thick, frizzy, unmanageable hair...They are a blessing. I first bought glass at an ...
Pros: It works- a powerful anti-frizz product that leaves hair silky without a greasy feeling. Cons: Even the price is worth it. I can't say anything negative.
I wouldn't normally dare to venture into writing about haircare products, but I was sick and tired of trying to find the right equation of products to straighten out and defrizz my pseudo-curly and super thick (aka does what it wants to) mop of hair. ...
Pros: easy to use, lasts a long time, doesn't look greasy or weigh hair down Cons: price
I have used this product for years. I was using another brand of a similar hair serum when I came across Redken Glass. I was reluctant to try it since my hair is picky at what it responds to. At first use I was hooked. This product is amazing. I...
I've tried every shine enhancing, smoothing product I can find and nothing is better than Redken's Glass. It isn't greasy when you apply it to your hair and gives sleek, shiny hair regardless of your hairs texture.I have very long, color treated, ...
Pros: Effectively shines dull hair; prevents flyaways and frizziness; long-lasting Cons: Expensive; Must purchase from a salon
Every time my fine, damaged hair was styled at the salon, the hairdresser would rub a bit of Redken glass between her palms and then through my hair. I noticed that my hair had no flyaways and frizziness (even in humid "HOT"lanta) for the rest of the day.
I finally decided to purchase it for myself. A 2 oz bottle cost $14.75 at my hair salon. The bottle is clear plastic with a screw-on cap (it looks similar to a jumbo bottle of eye drops). 10 months later, I've only used 1/4 of the product in the bottle.
After I wash and blow dry my hair, I dispense 2 or 3 drops into my palms, rub them together to warm it and spread it out evenly, then rub it though my hair, starting in the back and working forward. The product has an oily, smooth texture, and a very light vanilla scent. It is important to only use a few drops, otherwise your hair will look oily.
I've gotten the same great results at home that I got at the salon with this product.
Pros: makes hair very smooth and shiny Cons: a little more expensive than other products
I have natural curls. Blessing or curse? All you out there with curls know how much work it requires. I usually keep my hair straight and for about four years I've been using John Frieda's Frizz-Ease Hair Serum. I loved it when I first started using it and I still think it is quiet a good product. But not even remotely as good as Redken's Glass Smoothing Complex. My hair is about ten times softer, more resistant to rain/humidity and very shiny. It looks and feels healthier and I have to use a much smaller quantity. About two weeks ago, I got some highlights and usually after that my hair gets quite dry and requires more care. Not this time. I can't say enough good things about this product. I love it.
