Pros: Comfortable grip Cons: Just about everything else (did I mention the SLOW SPEED)?
I purchased the Remington R450s in order to get back into electric razors (after almost 15 years of blade razors). Hoping/assuming that the technology had progressed enough (yep - I bought into the typical advertising hype) to sufficiently improve on ...

Very disappointed
by scott2008 ,Feb 03 '08
Pros: none I can find, dont buy it Cons: slow, grabs face on the least amount of stubble, seems discharged after a full "charge"
I replaced my 7 yr old Remington r-845 with this shaver for the fact my old one was due to be changed, it held up wonderfully, BUT it will currently outperform this new r450. like the previous review said it has been slow and like uncharged from day one...and this is the 2nd one! I thought the first one I got was defective. I am going to try and return this one for an exchange one more time but I am not very hopeful. to review yes I charged the thing 18hrs per instructions before I turned it on. you can actually stop the spinning actuators easily from a "full charge" when after 7 yrs fully charged I cant stop my r-845 easily. I just cant replace my blades on it and Im down to 2 out of 3 as its completely worn out.

Average at best
by uinta-hiker ,Jun 24 '08
Pros: Good looking Cons: Noisy. Ineffective.
Noisy. Unimpressive cut. I'm done with Remington shavers. The Norelco I had before I lost it on a plane trip was quieter and cut more effectively. People say Brauns are better than Remingtons.

Good Shaver
by wrg31968 ,Jun 07 '08
Pros: Works well. Inexpensive Cons: Needs to be charged every few days
I purchased one approx. a week ago to replace another more expensive shaver that I have had for a few years now. I have been pleased with the performance. It does seem to run down and need to be recharged every couple of days but what do you expect from a lower end shaver. Very well worth the $35 I paid for mine.

Big Remington Disappointment
by vince123 ,Jan 08 '08
Pros: The shaver has a nice appearance and is very light weight. Cons: Shaver motor doesn't run fast enough to work properly.
I purchased this shaver as a replacement for a cordless Remington I had for over three years. I didn't want a new shaver but could not find replacement blades for my old one. I figured the technology would have at least improved so I went ahead and bought a new one, similar in looks and design to my old one...what a disappointment. After 5 weeks of putting up with minimal performance I threw it in the trash. It acted like the battery was never fully charged and the motor ran very slow from day one. With only one day's beard growth and a fully charged battery it would stop completely, pinching my face (ouch). The on and off button was also a big step backwards, as was the more bulky charge cord. I'm done with Remington products.
