Rival GC8155 Ice Cream Maker

Pros: easy convenient no need for ice and rock salt
Cons: wish there were 2 bowls included - takes a while to freeze the bowl

This maker is easy to use and has made good ice cream with 4/5 batches. I think that the alcohol based Mexican vanilla that I substituted in the recipe made a little tougher freeze task than this machine could handle with one batch but we have done well with each of the others. The gel canister has its work cut out for it here in South Texas, but if the mixture is cooled in the refrigerator before freezing, we have been getting great ice cream and sherbet in only a few minutes.
