Pros: Excellent clarity, attractive, lots of A/V ports, good picture & aspect ratio adjustability Cons: Fair black level and contrast; poorly-implemented Power 'button,' non-adjustable stand
I didn't initially go shopping for a monitor with an internal ATSC tuner, but since there was a local retailer selling the T220HD for hardly more than the straight monitor version (T220), I figured I'd give HDTV a try, since I don’t yet have a flat ...

Pros: Image quality, high contrast, vibrant colors, good control layout. Cons: Curved bezel may not appeal to everyone.
The T220 is Samsung's latest release in their 22" LCD monitor lineup. It would appear to be a successor to the Samsung 226BW since both feature a 2ms (GTG) repsonse time. I have both the T220 and the 226BW setup as dual monitors. I was ...

T220HD Picture,value,wow!
by xlr8also ,Feb 01 '09
Pros: Bright, high contrast picture. Menu laden with plenty of controls/features. Stunning HDTV / computer. Cons: No Composite/S-video input for older VCRs,etc.
No zoom function when using HDMI input.
I ordered the Samsung T220 HD because I was tired of reading the computer text on my 42" plasma at 10 feet. Its a very bright,high-res computer display as well as a very capable HDTV monitor. The contrast ratio out of the box blows away my Panasonic Plasma (but that set is 5 yrs old and I'm sure starting to fade). Although I do very rarely notice motion artifacts its only once in a while. I took a chance and bought a refurbished unit for $245 with $20 delivery and saved a lot. on HD with an HDMI input at 720P its just stunning. I'm not getting the light bleed on the edges like some people but I have the backlight turned down to 60%. You can go into the menu/select sound/ and change the graphic equalizer to make the speakers sound good. They give you menu control over every aspect of the TV/monitor. Tremendous value here.

Great for the price
by jerryspoor ,Mar 23 '09
Pros: Good features. Good TV/monitor Cons: Only personal issues.
This TV/monitor is worthy of all the good reviews it is getting. While I have not gone into an extensive technical evaluation there are a few comparisons to be made with existing monitors in my possession.
A sleep timer on a TV is important to me and the salesman told me it had one. Not so.
No RGB color adjustments beyond 4 factory preset combinations. I could not create a warm color tone with the computer adjustments while using it as a monitor. The white is very white which is good but it lacks the ability to create a warm picture. The picture has slightly less color intensity.
Fonts are thinner than my other monitors. This may be a function of being able to create a higher resolution. However, the LED pixel density is the the same as my 720P monitors. The difference here may be the tuner and the size of each pixel.
Black levels could be a little better.
Despite my fault finding mission here, the TV/monitor is very good and well worth the price. It would be 5 stars for most people but for my needs it is a 4 star.

You NEED this monitor
by brucedd ,Aug 05 '08
Pros: The picture is incredible! Controls are software driven Cons: no adjustment controls on monitor - uses software to adjust
Beautiful design, stunning picture, best specs around. This monitor is one of the best computer products I've ever owned. The image is so clear, sharp and bright, it took my breath away. I did have to turn the brightness down to 40% (it was set at 100% out of the box) because, in my dimly lit office, the light output was blinding!
I have owned a Samsung monitor for the past 2.5 years (19") and it has performed flawlessly all that time. Also, a previous employer I had used all Samsung monitors, and in the 2 years I worked there, only one monitor failed (out of 30 or 40). But it was still under warranty, so it was replaced at no cost. It just doesn't get better than that!
This 22" beauty is loaded with "wow" appeal. Every one of my friends who has seen it are jealous as can be! I'm such a fan, you really just can't go wrong with this one!
