Pros: Size, price, EXPANDABILITY (as of 5/06 ... price now, even better) Cons: Might be on the fragile side.....(See my Update at end of review)
I have been interested in MP3 players for quite some time, and even received an iPOD mini for Christmas. But, actually returned it because I felt it was too much to spend on a "novelty". I also didn't feel like spending more time (than I already do) ...
Pros: SD Slot; excellent playback and sound quality; light; inexpensive Cons: File management system could be much better.
Update: June 9, 2006 Sandisk has certainly been busy in the 12 months since I bought this. Their Sansa series has expanded to its M200 generation, which comes in 512MB and 1Gb capacities, like the Sansa E140 Series(reviewed here, of course), ...
Pros: Super light weight, good warranty, excellent sound with correct headphones. Cons: Included headphones poor sounding, covers for SD and USB ports easily misplaced cheap plastic.
Everyone wants a super light MP3 player that is shock resistant, easy to configure, has a good warranty, is upgradeable (memory wise), allows you to use your own battery (simple AAA's here) and has great sound. This unit fulfills all of these! This ...
Pros: Lightweight, Great Battery Life, great sound quality, more! Cons: Not rechargeable, USB port cover a joke,
I have owned this mp3 player for a few weeks now. I was in the market for a a decent mp3 player that wouldn't burn my wallet, but did not compromise size with quality. This mp3 player was very inexpensive, as I purchased it for $199.99 - rebate to ...
Pros: Low price, comes with essentials, small and light weight, has an expansion slot. Cons: Suck up battery juice, does not hold an infinite amount of music.
I received a Sansa e140 from my parents for Christmas last year, and I am pleasantly satisfied with it. I mean, it is not quite as high tech and popular as an ipod, but for me, a person who only listens to a little bit of music, the Sansa e140 is just ...
Pros: Price, 1 GB with 2 GB expansion, brand name, AAA battery with good life Cons: Terrible ear buds, no play list capabilities,
Got a deal recently on this little gem. Hard to beat for a new 2 GB of storage player for $ 79 Cdn ($68 US). Here’s the breakdown. Paid $69 for the unit itself (E140) with 1 GB of storage then got a Kingston 1 GB card for $10 (after a $20 MIR + ...
I bought my e140 at Circuit City for about $120. This was a good price for the feature set: MP3 and WMA support plus an SD slot for expandability. I found out later that it won't sort WMA files by genre properly. If you intend to store WMA files on ...
Pros: Small, Light, Stylish, Cheap, Expandable Memory, Ease of Use, Battery life. Cons: Could use better case, SRS WOW effects useless.
I've spent a year looking for the "perfect" Mp3 player. Through my search I realized that the Mp3 has far from "matured" and investing significant amounts of money into anyone at this time is unwise. Enter the SanDisk e140, the product to settle on ...
Pros: good sound, sd expansion, cheap, lightweight, good fm Cons: difficult to take out of the package without scissors
i wanted a cheap flash mp3 player with sd expansion to use while skiing so it wouldnt skip like hard drive players would when taking a beating on the moguls. this limited me to the rio forge (rio went out of buisness you can forget getting your warrentee ...
Pros: Sound quality better than expected and adjustable.
Accepts MP3 and WMA files.
Cons: Not sure why plastic USB connection cover was included: lost after a few hours.
This is a pleasing product with a few minor flaws. The player is good value for money, especially if you are looking for good sound quality you can adjust. I am new to MP3 players. Some features I think are clever, you may feel are basic. Sound ...
Pros: Size, durability, memory choices, won't go obsolete due to battery. Cons: Battery: Why do CDplayers last 40 hours and flash only 12 to 17 hours?
I've spent about four years working with Minidisc players and MP3 CD Players. The cost per meg of a Flash-type player kept me out of the market, and hard-disk mini players wouldn't suit my active life style. Last week, I "discovered" the Sansa. It had ...
Pros: The thing plays music. Cons: Horrid tech support and firmware upgrades, clunky device file managing. SANDISK=LIARS, THIS IS ONLY USB1.1!
***SANDISK LIED ABOUT USB 2.0 SPEED, IT'S ONLY USB 1.1*** and they'll lie to you when you call to ask, and insult you. I got this player as a cheap alternative to an Ipod. While it does what the other reviews say, the sound is strange and gimmicks ...
A great little mp3 player by elvenmaiden6 ,Dec 01 '05
Pros: nice size, Inexpensive, expandable memory! Cons: included earphones not very nice, slot covering fall off easily, can't create your own playlist.
This is a great, inexpensive, small, mp3 player. I've had it for about a week and really love it! One thing to note is when you use additional features(like the SRS WOW sound, or a Sd memory card) your battery life is shortened. The one thing i would've liked to have that it doesn't have is the ability to create my own playlist but that's not a huge loss.
Pros: Inexpensive, small, sounds good. Cons: None for the price.
The Sansa is a small, inexpensive MP3 player to bring along and listen to music on the go. ID3 tags display on screen, and it uses SD cards for extra memory. Takes 1 AAA battery, and holds a couple hundred songs. A+ Product!
Disappointed it's broke again! by jmparadise ,Jun 30 '06
Pros: Plays music nicely. Cons: Units just quit working.
Bought an e130 on Black Friday and used it continuously until it broke in May. It worked fine each way on the train everyday. Then it just would not start up. Put in a new battery - nothing.
tech support is very helpful but when it's dead it's dead. I tried everything they suggested. Finally I sent it back and they replaced it with an e140.
The e140 was nicer because now it played songs in album order.
However, it only lasted a month!!!!!!
The new one is broke - same deal it worked fine then it just died.
Shipped it back today.
I am so disappointed.
