Decent helmet but there's better out there for less money
by leonardo ,May 31 '07
Pros: plush interior, comfortable, light Cons: shield fogs easily, over priced
I owned this helmet for a over a year and was generally pleased with it with two gripes. It's a fairly noisy helmet and all motorcyclists really should wear ear plugs (rubber or foam) when riding for any length of time over 10 minutes. Hearing loss is very common among motorcyclists and the reality is it's very preventable. The shield doesn't scratch easily but fogs up too easily. The liner is very plush and comfortable and it's a light helmet comparatively speaking. The venting works "Ok" --nothing special or out of the ordinary. For about $150 less you can purchase a Scorpion helmet that in my opinion fits better, is quieter and also comes standard with a fog resistant shield that really does work. If you are a Shoei fan you should consider a Scorpion before buying a Shoei.
