Pros: Provides relief for aching body. Comfortable. Cons: New foam smell for first few days and needs readjusting every few days.
After eight years in the military, a broken tail bone and two babies, my back has seen better days. Since my last pregnancy, I've been unable to get comfortable in my own bed and, many nights, end up sleeping propped up on the sofa. Enter The ...
Pros: Low cost, great sleeping aid, easy to set up. Cons: Initial stinky smell from foam. Topper has to expand from it's compressed form.
I bought my Queen mattress topper (King also available) made by Sleep Innovations at Costco for $111 and also their pillow for $24.79. I had previously purchased the Tempur-Pedic mattress for $2,000 and returned it because I could not get use to the ...
Pros: comfortable support, good price Cons: allergic reaction to ongoing outgassing of either foam or additives; very warm in summer
We bought this mattress topper at Costco after reading several bits of information on the internet and then trying several densities of viscoelastic foam toppers at various foam supply shops. The common complaints about the primary smell is certainly ...
Pros: It was cheap for a foam mattress topper. Cons: Now I know why it was cheap.
I bought this mattress topper after throwing away my old one because it wouldn't stay on the bed. This one was even WORSE.We had to take all the blankets and sheets off nightly to slide it back to where it was supposed to be.Sleep Innovations falsely advertised this topper in my opinion.
Sleep Innovations Queen Topper by patrog ,Nov 11 '04
Pros: comfort Cons: Toxic smell...
We purchased our Sleep Innovations Topper almost one week ago. We waited for over three days for it to inflate, and it never did fully inflate on the sides. We slipped the topper into the down jacket that came with it and slept on the topper for the first time last night. It was great...I did not have any sore spots from sleeping in any position. However, the smell is so bad that I had to make sure that my head was outside of the covers...my PJ's smelled terrible in the morning. I now wonder how the smell will ever leave. I want to contact the factory to help me get rid of the smell. I am afraid that the Urethene is toxic to my skin...and may hurt my allergies. If anyone is out there that can help me get rid of the smell...please contact me. Thanks...Pat
Wrong Tempsoma Topper in the boxs at Sam's Club by railrider ,Apr 13 '07
Pros: It was soft and very white in color, it did lay flat and uniform size Cons: full size one I bought didn't expand to 3inches the velour cover was missing.
Bought a full size Tempsoma at Sam's club and got it home and found no velour cover in box like it said and it never did expand more than 2 inches. It said on the box would be 3inch thick. I took it back to Sam's and they opened another box at the store and samething, no velour cover and I am betting it will not expand to the 3inches like it said it would do. I believe they have put the wrong products in the wrong boxes. Have anyone else found this problem? I think they have a quality control problem at the factory. I called them about the problem and they said they will send a new one with a velour cover. The representative was very nice and responsive. I already have a King size topper I bought earlier and love it and thats why I decided to buy another one except I need only a full size.......
Noxious Fumes made us sick! by dawesguy ,Mar 23 '09
Pros: Comfy foam, cheaper than a temperpedic. Cons: Chemical smell TOXIC and make you sick !, doesn't fit bed. Hard to handle, heavy.
We bought the Tempsoma from Sams. IT was a king, and didn't fit the eastern king correctly, but we thought we'd give it a try. The 1st thing we noticed was the extreme chemcial smell. After putting it outside for over a week (the sun made it darker...) the smell was still intense! We tried it for 2 nights and we both got sick. My wife had nausea and severe headaches, and I only the sever headache! I couldn't see ever recommending this because of the caustic smell! Thumbs down on this turkey!
Good mattress topper for the price! by ishmaiah ,Jun 09 '04
Pros: Comfortable. Inexpensive. Cons: Takes a week to fully decompress. Smell lasts for weeks.
My wife and I bought a Select Comfort mattress which was supposed to help back pain...it didn't. When customer service was no help, we started looking for a mattress topper made of the "memory foam". We found this topper (king size) at Sam's Club for $128 dollars. It is well worth it! It helped fill in the unsupported gaps between the mattress and my body.
The mattress topper came vacuum packed and highly compressed. The only complaints I have it took well over a week for the majority of the topper to reach full thickness, and on one edge it never did. And the smell, which is very much like the smell of wet, moldy socks, was pervasive for several weeks after the topper was fully uncompressed. The smell permeates the sheets and clings to your PJ's...it was quite stinky!
Other than these temporary complaints, the topper does what it is supposed to do. I am a big guy, yet the topper still helps.
