had two brand new xbr970s 35 inch within 6 months. the first had green lines the second one i needed a new picture tube thank god for the two year warranty. a new tube is 800.00s.

Had a great picture for about 6 months, then developed a green/pink blob along one side of screen, sent in for repairs, they have replaced the picture tube Twice, after the second tube replacement,they let it run for a week, picture tube blew and damaged internal parts. They are trying to get the whole TV replaced by Sony.
