Pros: Digital tuner, good battery life, good sound, adequate reception Cons: LCD display, lanyard mount, buttons may crack, not stereo (but does it matter?)
Why would I write a review on such an old product? I bought one of these many years ago and it died. Ive been searching on and off for a replacement and I still havent found a suitable replacement. Since it looks like Im going to get ...
Pros: All digital tuning, 25 presets, great sound. Cons: Pricey
After trying 2 cheap shower radio models, I wish I had just gone after this one from the beginning. I forget the first brand but it was an analog (dial tuner) am/fm and it had a mirror for shaving. I liked the mirror, but avoid the dial tuner at all ...
Pros: Very good design, very good radio reception, easy to clean. Cons: None that I can think of.
Twelve years ago I found myself wandering around downtown Chicago. My wife was delivering a paper at a scientific conference and I was wasting time until it was time to go and hear her. I wandered into one of the boutique type electronic store and ...
Pros: Great reception. Easy to use. Super durable. Batteries last practically forever. Cons: There are better designed clocks out there. It's an okay clock, but a great radio.
My parents own several early versions of this Sony shower radio and they all still work perfectly af ...
Pros: water resistant, durable, excellent sound and reception, great clock radio Cons: can not see the time in complete darkness
I purchased this radio originally as a shower radio. However, as I came to find out, this radio was much more than just a shower radio. In addition to being water resistant and very useful in the shower, I also use it outside of the shower. It is very...
Pros: Easy to use Cons: Doesn't last as long as typical Sony products, expensive for the life of product.
I love this item- however- I feel that being Sony brand and costing what it does, should last a long time. Instead, the buttons get cracked over time on top, water seeps in, and then it no longer works. It worked great for 3 years- but now it's dead and I know that others have had the same problem. Just be aware. If the cost of about $20 per year use for a shower radio is OK for you- then by all means... enjoy!

Pros: none Cons: poor TV reception; poor design/material; expensive
Ignore the previous reviews - obviously written by Sony employees.
My wife bought 2 of these - one for each of our showers (yes, we have our own bathrooms - it's a territorial thing).
Within 6 months, the buttons on top surface have completely worn through on both radios.
We no longer keep them in the shower, since we are afraid that without the cover, the water might damage the radio.
So now we have 2 very expensive ($70 each) regular radios.

Pros: Gets a great signal. User friendly. Cons: None.
This radio is sensational. I live among mountains and have never been able to get a consistently clear signal. This radio picks up many more stations than others, locks on to them and sounds great. It's also easy to use. I take it into the garden and from room to room rather than messing with the tuner and stereo.
Tuning radio is harder than some other models but once the pre-sets are loaded (10 FM, 5 AM) the radio is easy to operate. Exterior FM antenna is not very fashionable but it does improve reception.
