Pros: Good looking package (makes great gift set). Cons: Electronic noise canceling somewhat ineffective unless earbuds are very tightly fitted into ears.
I am particularly careful how I dont turn up the music too loud so I could protect my hearing until I am 100. With my recent purchase of an MP-3 player, I wanted a new set of noise canceling earphones that can be used while walking around ...
Great sound and cancelling performance!!! by rojoba ,Jan 14 '08
Pros: For the cost of these ear-buds IMPRESSIVE!! Cons: Lack of a 2,5 mm plug connector.
I have tried these ear-buds and was impressed in their performance. I am very sensitive to out of phase sound which I found very annoying on the regular active noise cancelling headsets as they are not in phase all the time. Obviously this would not be possible as the distance to the inner ear would be different each time you move your head. The ear-buds don not have this disadvantage. I have worked on the design for active anti-sound systems in Fokker 100 aircraft and I must say these ear-buds work excellent. Only disadvantage I found was the disappointing signal to noise ratio from the noise cancelling amplifier (although not too much of a problem) and the lack of a 2,5 mm plug connection which most mp3 player/mobile phones have.
