Pros: Large network, free mobile to mobile Cons: dropped calls, high price for value of plan
I switched to Sprint cause my previous carrier had no signal where I live. Big disappointment. Although a signal is available, there are a lot of dropped calls, even when away from home. Before Sprint made 7pm nights standard I had 9pm nights on ...
Pros: Wide network Cons: customer service is some of the worst I have ever seen
In my opinion don't bother with Sprint in the Detroit area. They confuse orders, overcharge, turn off service before the due date, they have incompetent workers.
Today alone it took me 2 seperate calls to their published telephone number, 3 transfers (accounts -> customer service -> accounts -> finally to the gentleman who swore there was no cancellation penalty on our long standing account showing on the computer, but who's supervisor claimed it was actually $150 PER LINE, which we have three. After another 10 minute wait on the phone, he came back and tried to reduce my horrible monthly payment rate (not what the ads on TV say they are going to be) and give me a month of no payments due.
No Thanks!! We have had too many hassles. It's time to change or go without.
Sprint offers 15% off for Military.... by bootang_24 ,Mar 17 '07
Pros: Great coverage, national, nights start at 7pm Cons: none yet
I think every cell service has their quirks...however, for us, sprint was a natural choice, their nights start automatically at 7pm (instead of 9pm for most) without extra charge. We got the Sanyo 8400 phone..great phone for only $50bucks each by, buying online...we got free activation, free shipping (and the phones were actually $99 each but we are getting a $100 total credit). Not to mention if you are in the military Spirint is currently offering 15% off for military personnel...that's a great benefit and a nice offering to the "people who serve our country". At this point, we are getting better service in our home and are enjoying the new phones.
The only thing I think to be cautious of is in the beginning they offer you free "power packages" these will add up to over $15.00 a month extra if you don't remember to cancel them. The only negative thing is that they do not offer a more affordable package for the photo mail...or whatever you call it, so that will be a bummer when we cancel that, as the extra $15.00a month (or $180yr) is not worth the cost.
