The ABslide is a decent alternative you might want to try.

by cntaur5, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 100, Dec 25 '02
Pros: Tones abdominals, chest, shoulders, back, and arms.
Cons: Adequate strength needed to perform movements, which can cause back strain.
You'll never guess what I got for Christmas? Chances are you have tried to get perfect abs before and maybe even tried or seen other ab products? If you have not seen the infomercial on the Sylmark ABslide then let me give you my...

Want to slide away a few inches?

by luclin999 Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Mar 12 '02
Pros: Works the muscle groups claimed in the ads.
Cons: Will NOT give you the six-pack they show, when used by itself.
Last year I noticed that I that I had just turned 35 and was 225 lbs. While this wasn’t insanely overweight for my 6’ frame, it was noticeable and a far cry from the 185 lbs I carried at 25.

I realized that the weight I had been slowly...

Do You Want to Look Like Fabio? Good Question, But How?

by hwz1 Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 50, Jan 22 '02
Pros: Fits in the garbage can and is easily tossed out the window
Cons: $30 is better spent on a book on "How to Button a Shirt"
Question: Why does one purchase an AB machine? Anyone with at least a bit of a brain would suggest the reason you purchase an AB machine is in order to work your abs and get that toned look that we all so desire. Even better is when we can get the...

Pros: Quick and Easy; Tones muscles without effort; Gentle on back
Cons: A little expensive; Somewhat bulky

Not painless. But it works!

by whtvr , Oct 18 '04
Pros: It works, and it works fast.
Cons: I think it needs more than 3 minutes a day. Can be painful to use.
I bought one for a friend 4 years ago. He never used it. To make it worth my money, I ended up using it myself. For 4 years, I had washboard abs. (I am a self conscious person and never go to a gym. So that's the only piece of equipment I have ever ...

Abslide

by archon155 , Jan 22 '02
Pros: Cheap, easy on back, portable, seems to work rather well...
Cons: Slightly heavy for the size, can be hard on knees...
I bought this little gizmo because I was curious. I am still in good shape...but nowhere near where I was in the military. Since I do not have much time to work out these days, I picked it up to see if it would work, it does. It does not seem like it is...

The Little Abslide that Could

by kewlioman , Mar 02 '03
Pros: Compact, very sturdy design, cheap and effective
Cons: knee cushion is not effective, can cause pain in lower back
I saw a infomercial for the Abslide about a year ago, and while it looked like it might help, I decided to stick to normal exercises. It just seemed that no machine could compare to the pains and aches that are caused by a few hundred sit-ups or...

Not worth the money
by sawa2us ,Jul 26 '06
Pros: It does work
Cons: If not done right hurts your back
I purchased this when it came out and tried it. It does really work your abs, but if not done just right it hurts your back due to arching.
