Pros: Excellent picture quality Cons: It has some quirky features
I have owned a 26" Olevia LCD TV for about two years, and it is still working just fine. Before Christmas, I decided it was time to upgrade to a larger screen, so I went looking for 37" models. Anything larger would not fit well in the space I had, ...
Pros: Great picture once it's adjusted, inexpensive. Cons: Horrible sound,Clicks when powered on, bright LED when off, strange menu
My 12 year old Sanyo 25" tube television became woefully inadequate after I bought a 42 inch plasma for my living room. I had been using the old Sanyo in my den but I just couldn't stand to watch it anymore and all too often my wife and I watch ...
Pros: Good picture, good sound, HDMI, and HD tuner. Cons: 10 sec. startup time and strange on screen menu.
This LCD TV has many of the features the more expensive sets have. You get HDMI and PC connections in addition to the typical S-video, cable, and composite connections. This TV has a 1360x768 resolution, 178 degree viewing angle, 8ms response time, and ...
Pros: Perfect as large PC monitor. Scales to available resolution. Cons: Confusing on-screen menu
We purchased this for our conference room, and could not be more pleased. Our computer in that room doesn't support the full 1366 x 768 resolution, and our previous monitor (a low-end Konka) looked horrible at 1280 x 720, so we ran it at 1024 x 768. Not ...
Pros: Great TV - Bargain price. 37" for 32" cost and Great picture. Cons: Not all 237T's are the same. Look for the newer edition - T-12.
OK - I'll probably get in trouble for this being off topic but the Olevia 237t-12 is essentially the same TV as the 537H with a few differences. 1. The 537H has a universal remote - the 237T does not. 2. The 237T-12 has TWO HDMI inputs. I've read ...
Pros: Great picture and the price is hard to beat. Cons: There are no cons to this TV yet, but only time will tell.
First, I ordered this TV online on Sunday and it arrived on Thursday, same week.[...]Second, this was a breeze to set up. I upgraded my cables and installed them easily, however I already had an HD FIOS box. I read where some were talking about the long ...
Pros: very good HD image quality, great colour, excellent SD image quality, decent sound, Cons: mediocre black levels, picture could be brighter slow start up long delays between channels
I've bought an Olevia 537 almost 2 year ago from Tiger Direct. The first one I brought home stopped working after 2 weeks. I exchanged the unit with no problems, and the replacement has been working beautifully ever since. While I ...
Nice TV with Horrible Customer Service by poof5000 ,Jun 27 '09
Pros: Great picture. Like the stretch, center has no distortion. Good price. Cons: Horrible customer service! Tv prone to problems.
I experienced the worst customer service I've ever dealt with trying to replace a brand new defective tv. I won't ever buy this brand again based on their poor customer service. I was sent a defective replacement tv to replace a TV that was defective right out of the box! I'm now on my third TV. Obviously, these TVs are prone to problems.= or poorly made. Picture looked amazing while worked. The stretch was also great, with absolutely no distortion in the center. But, alass, it's not worth the trouble.
Main picture board needs replacing after 18 months by dboard ,Mar 25 '08
Pros: Picture quality was good for first 12 months Cons: Costly repairs on parts that should not need to be replaced and poor customer support
I do not recommend this television. The main picture board needs replacing after 18 months costing at least $350. Customer support and warranty is non existent after first 12 months.
Olevia 537H 37" Great first impressions. by msimon80 ,May 24 '08
Pros: Picture, sound, and initial setup. Cons: Make sure of return policy of where you purchase any HDTV.
Office Depot had this HDTV on sale, and after looking around, it's spec's and picture were comparable to others I looked at. It is not cheaply put together. After reading all the Epinions on it and other personal reviews I purchased it with a one year extension for $99.99. I took it home and was really impressed . The initial channel set up was a snap. This TV has a great picture in 1080i, and 720p resolutions. The second day I noticed there was a problem powering it up. When powering up the Olevia it would take more than one attempt to start up. I Paid $649.99, plus the extended warranty, to much to put up with this problem! I would consider the return policy on any brand HDTV. This is a very good TV for the price if it doesn't have a problem right out of the box. This is true of anything. I took the Oliva back and got a different brand. Office Depot gave me no hassles.
Pros: Great picture, colors, darks, motion. Remote and sound are fine. Cons: Menu is a little odd but you figure it out.
I've had the 537H for 6 months and it is great. Great picture, great value. Friends and neighbors are very impressed. My Dad and Mom are now getting a 542i. I would not trust the other 537H reviews on here. This TV is even better than I hoped, and I had high expectations.
