I found out about The red Hat Society four and a half years ago and began researching what and who they are. Then I read Sue Ellen Cooper's book "Fun and Friendship After Fifty" and I really understood what The Red Hats stood for. I started my own chapter and we have been strutting our stuff in purple attire and bright red fedoras for almost four years now. This book is a must for any woman, be ye fifty or not. Remember dressing up and pretending to be older like our mothers? Now we learn how to dress up and pretend to be a little girl again. What a fantastic way to greet middle age!
