Cons: Not too much going on until the end.

By accident, I started reading this book first.  I'd seen the trailer for the movie and after eyeing Darren Shan's Cirque Du Freak series at work for so long, I finally decided I ought to read it.  Sure, it's in the teen section, but ...

Pros: Vampire/vampire law descriptions.
Cons: Not that much action.

Let me start off by saying i'm 14 and i love all of Darren Shan's books. I started reading them a week ago and im already half way into Trials of Blood. The Vampires Assistant was a good book, but it could have been better. I enjoyed reading the book though. It gives you alot of information on the vampires and the can and can nots of them. Eventhough it could have been better it is a good sequal to Cirque Du Freak.
