It's time to meet the cutest little engine on the Island of Sodor, Thomas the Tank Engine! He is really the biggest name in trains, and biggest helper on the Island of Sodor - although he can get into mischief too! Both of my sons love Thomas....

Pros: Comes in many sets, always on sale somewhere, a fine toy by himself, widely available.
Cons: Thomas is a "gateway" engine: the beginning of a very expensive habit.

I can't believe how many reviews I've written about the Thomas & Friends wooden railway system without writing about Thomas himself. Well, Thomas' time has finally come.

Everyone loves Thomas the Tank Engine and his Friends, kids and adults alike. My 7-year-old has collected Thomas for many years and still likes him, but is getting more into action figures now....So, what will I do with all of the Thomas stuff that we have accumulated? Well, that's easy because our 15-month-old is a little Thomas fan now too! He loves this toy so much. One of the best things about this product and many other Thomas items is that they are made to last. So now Thomas toys like this one will be enjoyed for many more years by our youngest. Talk about getting your money's worth! Great toy.
