Pros: works well, reliable, inexpensive Cons: non-retractable cord
Way back when, when I was setting up a kitchen, I knew I had to have an electric carving knife. It didn't have to be an expensive one as I didn't plan to be butchering entire steers or whole hogs but it had to have enough oomph to be able to thinly slice ...

Don't waste your money

Pros: None. Cons: Doesn't cut meat easily.
It was difficult to cut a tender pot roast with this knife. It required heavy pressure and a sawing motion. We threw it away after two uses.
