Pros: It really does work! Cons: A bit high in price, but manageable considering I don't use them EVERY DAY!
Do you have insomnia or are you just plain stressed to the point that you can't sleep at night? If you can answer yes to either one of these questions let me just tell you that Unisom Maximum Strength SleepGels just might be what you are looking for. ...
Pros: Restful night of sleep, no sluggish after morning feeling and quick acting Cons: None for me
Disclosure: Before taking any over the counter medication it is advised that you check with your doctor to make sure the medication is right for you and will not produce unwanted side effects that could be dangerous.
Pros: Work great, No bad dreams, No side effects Cons: PRICEY
I'm not a sleeper and most nights, I end up taking sleep enhancers just to be able to fall asleep by 3am in the morning. Typically, I am wide awake from 6am until 2am with no intention of going to bed or falling asleep, no matter how hard I try. I just...
Pros: Work within 30 minutes. No side effects for me. Cons: $6-$7 for a bottle containing only 32 soft gels.
Tossing and turning till 4 AM does not cut it when you have to be at work at 9 AM. Unisom fixed that and now when I can't sleep I take one small gel cap and 30 minutes later I just can't seem to keep my eyes open.
Pros: It will put you to sleep, and you don't have to hide it from your landlord. Cons: You might have a hard time waking up.
You Don't Need Pot; You Need Unisom.
Are you a graveyard worker, grave digger, clam digger, or an overcaffinated member of society? Do you enjoy feeling really loopy before hitting the pillow, but are afraid of drug tests at your...
Pros: none for me Cons: did not help my insomnia / made me groggy the next day
I've suffered from insomnia ever since I can remember. I've gone through every over-the-counter remedy I've ever heard of without even marginal success. My latest medicinal adventure was with Unisom's Maximum Strength SleepGels.
First of all let me tell you that I have NEVER purchased this medication. I have however almost purchased it but quickly changed my mind. No this is not a single minded campaign to rescue people from drug dependency or promote natural health...
Pros: Is great for occasional sleeplessness Cons: Is NOT for long term use. May have the opposite effect.
During a very difficult pregnancy I spent nearly 6 weeks hospitalized. During that time I had lots of problems sleeping (who wouldn't?). I had at my disposal whatever I wanted to help me sleep. After I went home, I was on my own and I still couldn't ...
Pros: Puts you to sleep Cons: restless legs sometimes, and nervous stomach
I have had insomnia for years and I have tried natural products, remedies (milk, chamomile tea & etc), suggestions, and nothing has worked for a long time. I finally tried Unisom and it has worked for me better than anything else. I have found though ...
Pros: price isn't to high Cons: took more then one to help
I have been an insomniac for as long as I can remember. I was told by my doctor to try an over the counter sleep aid. I went for Unisom I took one and about three hours later I still was awake. I decided to take another one and about a half an hour...
Pros: OTC, Inexpensive. Cons: Might mask a real problem, Can actually disrupt your sleep.
I generally do not like OTC sleep agents because, insomnia is a symptom of something deeper. Unisom can definitely help you fall asleep, but it can also disrupt your REM cycle which has been shown to be THE MOST IMPORTANT stage of sleep. That's the...
I tried Unisom one night cause I really needed a good nights rest. And this was the worse night for me. I did not sleep and my entire body was so sore when I finally decided to get out of bed after starting to get annoyed by not being able to sleep. But the thing about this is that I was SO tired but it would not let me sleep. I would not recommend this.
Pros: inexpensive, and OTC Cons: Doesn't work well.
My doctor will not prescribe me a sleep aid since I have 2 children at home with me, so I am stuck trying to find something that will help me sleep. I have taken maximum strength unisom sleepgels about 8 times now and without fail the product does not seem to work for me. Ever since my hysterectomy I have suffered from insomnia and nothing has helped me sleep. I feel like I am losing my mind. So for all of the women out there who are suffering from menopause and can't sleep, this is not a product you want to purchase.
What a long, strange trip... by venus86 ,Mar 12 '08
Pros: you will sleep...long; cool dreams; minimal grog Cons: none for me
I took Unisom Max Strength kinda just for kicks - to test out how well it would work. Within an hour of taking it I felt the effects and it was pretty difficult to keep my eyes open while watching TV at 8pm (this could also have been due to the gripping reality show that I was watching at that time). When I went to bed, I was out cold for 11 hours and I had the trippiest dream. It was actually really cool. I woke up and felt refreshed. Maybe a bit groggy for about 10 minutes, but after my morning espresso I was good to go. I know we don't all have the luxury of sleeping for 11 hours, so I don't know if I'd go with max strength if I had to go to work or something very early the next morning. Granted, I don't have any kind of insomnia whatsoever. But I would recommend it for jetlag or getting through a long plane ride when you don't want to be disturbed.
