I canned Sprint for many reasons, one of which was coverage, and all my friends told me that Verizon had the best coverage in our area. With the exception of the basement of the DC Hilton and the lower levels of the Smithsonian museums, I always get a signal and almost always get EVO (high speed) connectivity. And, as a plus, Verizon has exclusive service within the DC Metro system. If you see someone talking on a cell in a metro tunnel, they either have a Verizon phone or are roaming onto Verizon.
