My neighbor across the street turn me and all my other neighbors on to Vigoro Weed and Feed 28-3-3. His yard looks better than any residential lawn, better than any professional landscaped commercial lawn. I moved in my house and my yard was a sea of weeds. I tried sprays, I tried Scotts. No good. Scotts greens your grass and all your weeds and if you have Bermuda grass (like I do),as soon as you cut it, you cut the green off. I have another neighbor that has put everything from Chicken Sh... to Cheerios on his lawn trying to make it the best on the block. He finally gave in to Vigoro and all our lawns look great now. So I highly recommend it.

I was desperate with my lawn very bad looking. I had the lawn infested with weeds and the grass very weak after winter. It was so bad that I thought I had to replant the grass. I have no much time to work on it, so before decided to replant the grass. Taking a suggestion from a coworker I made the first application with W&F.
The results were dramatic. Now the weeds have gone and my problem now with the raining season is that is growing so fast that I have to mow every 5 days ;-)

Cons: Home Depot made the mistake of dropping this fine product.

For years I have bought Vigoro Weed And Feed fertilizer at Home Depot.  It has basically the same formula as Scott's but cost noticeably less.  Maybe because of the expensive, agressive advertising campaign that Scott's has?  At any rate I have been extremely satisfied with Vigoro for green thick grass and for eliminating weeds. 

Anyway, I was very disappointed to find that Home Depot has now dropped the Vigoro line and now only sells the more expensive Scott's plus some el cheapo brand.  Scott's makes a good product but it is waaaaay over-priced in my opinion.  In these hard economic times I am sorry to see Home Depot make this anti-consumer decision to drop the better value for its customers.  I am now shopping somewhere else, thank you, for my yard needs.
