Pros: Washes well; super capacity; good cycle selection; two-tone control panel Cons: No warm water rinse
Last month my Frigidaire front loader that was only 6 years old dropped its drum and died without notice. It had not been abused or overloaded but always treated with tender loving care yet it still refused to wash another load of clothes. Looking ...

Pros: Does a great job, abundant features, quiet operation Cons: Softner dispenser hard to remove/clean. Easy to accidentally turn it off.
Normally I am a diehard Kenmore girl, my first washer & dryer was a Kenmore and lasted almost 20 years without a single service call! My second washer/dryer was a GE and I became on a first name basis with the repairman. In December of 06 our GE ...

Whirlpool washer 9750P
by bears15 ,Sep 03 '06
Pros: quiet-washes great-price-heavy duty Cons: that yellow strip at the bottom-useless
Fantastic washing machine.
The only thing I recommend is taking the yellow
band with 2 cotter pins located at the bottom
of the machine off
before washing a load of clothes.

Avoid Whirlpool LW9750P Washing Machine!!!
by moots4 ,Jan 02 '09
Pros: Affordable, but the cost does not out weigh the hassle, inconvenience, and additional costs. Cons: Unreliable. Poor customer service. Extremely disappointing.
We purchased this washer on Dec. 30, 2006. It worked fine until Dec. 31, 2008. It will not spin anymore and makes a horrendous noise. The repairman said that we needed a "new transmission" or gearcase and that we should just purchase a new washing machine. We did not have an extended warranty, so Whirlpool would only offer a 15% discount on a new Whirlpool appliance. I will not invest in another Whirlpool appliance. We've purchased other name brand appliances that have never had any problems, some of which are 5-10 years old. Appliances should last more than two years before they "need a new transmission." Whirlpool was not helpful at all. I waited on the phone for approximately 25 minutes due to the "high call volume" they were experiencing. Though the custormer service rep was polite, we were disconnected during the conversation, and they did not call me back even though they had verified my "call back number." It was extremely disappointing.
Stay clear of this washing machine!
