Pros: Outstanding styling; quiet; comfort; legroom; visibility. Cons: Slow acceleration; higher than average cost of repairs and parts; fuel consumption.
I just bought a yellow one with 115,000 miles this Summer.
The Rolls Royce/Daimler-inspired styling is a knockout, and gets much positive comment, although I believe the grille might be a bit overdone. (The back of the chrome grille facing the cabin has a flat spot that at times reflects bright sunlight right into the driver's/passengers' eyes.)
The aluminum 4100 V8 engine is underpowered for the heft of the car, but a bigger engine would also be even more fuel-consumptive than the about-15 MPG it gives me now. (The 4100's reputation is spotty, and some owners have reported a bearing knock.)
The car has a five-speed automatic transmission, including an overdrive which activates at around 55 MPH. (The speedometer only rises to 85 MPH.)
Besides the great British styling, the beautiful matching-color interior is utterly silent in motion.
In contrast to today's "high-pockets" cars, the '84 Seville is very level and low-slung, with generous window glass. The ride is not wallowy but is a bit on the softer side, as befits the Cadillac tradition. If you find a good example, the price should be reasonable.
