Pros: Cool looking, quick acceleration, good gas mileage, steers like a dream. Cons: The 5-speed is hard to shift, kinda cramped. The Bottom Line: Get it if ya like small compact sports cars, but for those of you looking for some space and ease of driving, "Dodge" it!!!
I recently drove a 1988 Dodge Daytona. I love the style of this car. Sitting in it reminded me of a ...

Pros: With my new 2.5l, steering, and suspension done its all good. Cons: It's time for the little stuff to go. The Bottom Line: I would definitely recommend a Daytona. But one that has been taken care of. Just start with one that's in good shape and work with it. Remember, it's your baby.
My Daytona got a total make-over. I put a brand new 2.5L motor in it, new steering system along with the new suspension. That's not all I did though. Put all the high performance parts I could find(that didn't require a tear down)on it, added ram air,...

Pros: Nice power and interior for a 80's sports car Cons: Engines are often beat up quite badly
I bought a Shelby Z last fall in a private sale that had 220 000 Kilometers on it. All the signs there were against it but it looked pretty decent and all the bills were there from its 11 year exsistance, including origial window sticker and bill of...

Pros: nice looking Cons: broke down constantly
This car caused me nothing but grief! I bought it for $800, took it to the shop 14 times in as many weeks, then sold it for $50 just to get rid of the headaches!
I bought my Datona from a local garage. Presumably, the car should be in decent...

Pros: Good ones last for forever Cons: every daytona is different
The thing about DAytonas is that Chrysler is known ALLOT for thier inconsistancy on thier K-car based automobiles, if you get a good one, they last for forever, but if you get a bad one your just digging yourself a hole, but if you can find a good one...

Pros: get me where i want to go Cons: doesnt start right away
I have a 1988 Dodge Daytona. It is the biggest piece of junk ever. Every morning I have to start it and have to warm it up by keeping foot on the gas for about 10 minutes. If I take my foot off the gas the car goes dead. It is like an adventure...

Pros: Crazy times, no brakes, own lanes, and stealing cones Cons: Rest In Peace Bundy
Ahhh, the '88 Dodge Daytona, dubbed as the Bundy Mobile:
I remember all the good times I had in the Bundy and tears begin to flow from my eyes. I remember stealing cones, own lane, NO BRAKES, the sound it made during it's last lively days on...

Pros: Reliable, gas mileage Cons: Not trendy looking
My very first car I ever had was an '88 Dodge Daytona. My parents bought it used in '92 for 4K. I loved that car. Besides all the high school and college memories it brings back, it was a reliable car. I ran the hell out of it. In the 7 years I had...
