Pros: Relatively gentle ride, back seats fold down, problem-free power steering, gas mileage 28-36. Cons: Acceleration was never great, dealership service uninspiring. The Bottom Line: This is an affordable, reliable car even at high mileage. Don't complain that it isn't a sports car. It looks good, drives well, and starts every time. Dealer service poor.
I purchased a 1989 Honda Accord LX in 2000 after my 1989 Sentra had starting problems that the Nissan dealership couldn't or wouldn't diagnose. While I would still buy a Nissan, I wouldn't use their service department. The Accord had 142,000 miles on ...

Pros: Quality, ride, acceleration, economy Cons: Paint, air conditioning, servicability
Note: When I originally submitted this, there was no year designation for cars, just make and model. Epinions, in their infinite wisdom, filed this under "1989 Accord" when they began to segregate the model years. I have been back and forth...

Pros: Good looking, Excellent Quality Cons: 2-door may not be a good choice for families with infants
We have two Honda Accords...both bought as used vehicles. One is a 1987 four dour and the other is a 1992 two door coupe. Because this falls under the heading of two door Honda, I'll write my epinion on that car, but suffice it to say I am very happy...

Pros: Reliable, Economical Vehicle Cons: Brakes May Cause Problems.
In November 1989, my mother picked me up from work in her 1983 Toyota Corolla. After her car died in the middle of a bad part of town with both of us in the car, she told my dad that she didn't care what he said that she had had it and was going to buy...

Pros: quick, good gas mileage! Cons: none
I've had my fair share of cars in my few years of "road rage". Among them a 79 Buick Regal, 78 Bronco, 85 Monte Carlo, and a 80 Z28 Camaro. For the most part I am a Chevy man! Love them Vette's! As for a foreign car- I'd rather be bit by a...

Pros: Great reliability, great resale, nice ride Cons: Rusts easily, kind of anemic on hills
Don't you love it when you have something other people covet? My Honda fits that bill exactly!
Why buy junk when you can have perfection?
I've owned 2 Accords (one an 86 and my current 93).
Current Model:

INTRO AND BACKGROUND
We bought our 1998 Honda Accord EX 4 door in Nov 1997 without any hesitation. We liked the body style change to the bigger body appearance and the fact that the base price started at $100 less than the model year before it. We...

Pros: Reliability Cons: Nothing
This is a car that a family can buy, then quickly turn their attention to other concerns. Reliability should not be an issue. It is, after all, a Honda. It is a remarkably easy car to drive and every aspect of it is user friendly. It's one of the...

Pros: Body style, gas mileage, interior space Cons: Change holder, wide turning radius
I bought my Honda Accord 4 door LX because of the body style and it's reliability. 1998 was the first year of this updated style and it is very appealing. I was on a tight budget, but wanted a car that looked stylish and got decent gas mileage. The...

I became a Honda convert back in 1998. Previously I had a 1990 Toyota Corolla (purchased brand new)with 180,000 miles on it. The Toyota never gave me a mechanical problem. Family members have purchased a couple of the Honda Accords and swore by them....

I am the proud owner of a 1990 Honda Accord LX. Yes, I said 1990 and that I was proud to own this car. My Honda is still a great car with 10 years of almost flawless performance and nearly 140 thousand miles on it. This car has been in my family...

Pros: good gas mileage, sturdy in an accident, always dependable engine Cons: some parts will wear and break with time, too small for growing family (3+ kids) The Bottom Line: For as many miles as we have on this tough, sporty vehicle, it is still dependable and efficient cost wise. We can't seem to justify getting rid of it...
This is the second Honda Accord that we have owned. The first we put over 217,000 miles on, this second one we have put 275,000 on. It has been the most mechanically dependable vehicle that we have ever owned as far as the engine and body go. The ride...
