Pros: Reliable, great styling, fantastic resale value Cons: some rattles, bumper rusted quickly
The 1993 Toyota Pickup 4x4 is a solid, reliable small pickup truck with just some minor problems. I eventually traded it for my RAV4 (see my review on the RAV4) because I needed some more interior space. I do however miss the truck and think it's a...

Pros: runs strong and dependable Cons: small interior
Up until recently for approximately 2 years I was the proud owner of a 1993 Toyota 4x4 pickup. The vehicle was a 4cyl(22re) 5spd 4x4 with a push bar, fog lights, am/fm cassette, 31 x10.50 good year MT tires, and a bed liner in the famous Toyota...

Pros: style, durable, resale value Cons: bench seat, no tach
The 1993 Toyota Pickup is a vehicle destined to become a classic! The model I tested was a regular cab 4x2 with a 4 cyl engine, 5 speed, and 3 inch lift kit with the oversized (not offroad) wheel and tire package.
The truck drives...well...

Pros: Reliable, great gas mileage. Cons: Small cab, sometimes lugs in mountains.
This truck was purchased last year for my wife, she loves it. It's only a four - cylinder engine, but it gets you the power that you need. We've used it for everything possible and it's always been there. It's been four wheeling up in the Colorado...

Pros: Good gas mileage, comfortable - spacious cab, relatively inexpensive Cons: Visibility isn't that good, air conditioning can be bad
My brother and I have a 93 Toyota pickup. Aside from an old clunker, it is the first car we have had. This standard transmission vehicle is a great choice for the college student. It has a lot of foot room in the front and it even has enough room...

Pros: Toyota reliability Good offroad performance Simple Cons: Power Gas milage? Not much room in cab The Bottom Line: Excellent truck; simple, great offroad capability, solid build. If you need a commuter or just a small 4x4 this one will work just fine.
I owned a 1993 Toyota (deluxe model)pickup regular cab 4x4 with the 2.4 liter engine. This was a great vehicle for what I needed. I'm single with no family and I didn't ever need to pull anything behind it. It was great for camping and climbing trips and ...

Pros: reliable, light weight, easy to upgrade, it's a Toyota Cons: underpowered, IFS The Bottom Line: If you're looking for a light-medium duty work truck w/ great gas mileage or an inexpensive yet reliable trail rig...this is for you.
I also own a 1993 Toyota pickup w/ the 22re (195,000 miles.) This truck is one of my favorites for taking on the trails...and it's still relatively stock! The great aspects behind the toyota is the transmission. Between the years of 1982-1995, Toyota...

Pros: good gas mileage , very dependable , cold A/C , takes a beating Cons: The cab is small and lacks storage space "its a pick up "
I bought my 1993 Toyota pick up standard , no frills other than A/C three years ago . The truck was not properly maintained by its previous owner . I have replaced the timing chain and clutch . I have also done many other things as preventive maintenance . I was not happy when I first bought it and had to sink money into a clutch and timing chain . However, the truck has never ever given me a minutes trouble since. The truck had 114,000 on it when I bought it and now has over 180,00 . I use this truck to run service calls it runs every day all day to different jobs . I cut it no slack and it continues to go and go . I came to like it so much I now own two the new one is a 1998 standard Tacoma and I am very happy with it also . I highly recommend purchasing one of these trucks if you need good dependable transportation !

Pros: Quality and Value Cons: None
I needed a small inexpensive pickup in 93 and bought this base model for $7000 brand new. 4 cylinder, 5 speed, 2wd, no extras, not even a radio. Now it's 11 years and 195,000 miles later and I'm still driving it every day. I wouldn't be surprised if it is still running at 400,000 miles. This is one great truck!
This is the most reliable, most rugged, and most trouble free vehicle I've ever owned. The only things that have ever been replaced besides tuneup parts, oil changes, and tires, are front brake pads at 170,000 miles and a water pump at 194,000 miles. I did have to weld the exhaust pipe twice where it cracked near the manifold. The truck still uses no oil between changes.

Pros: RELIABILITY, Gas mileage, doesn't rust...the list goes on and on! Cons: Leg room could be a lil' expanded. My only con.
I bought this truck new and I have never been so satisfied with any other product that I have ever purchased. I owned a Chevy S-10 and it was a piece of junk. I'll never buy any other vehicle unless it has the Toyota logo on it. 126,000 miles and I still have the original back brake pads. I had the clutch replaced once, but I blame that on myself for driving like an idiot sometimes.:) During the first year that I owned it, someone dented my driver's side fender. Bare metal has been showing ever since and it still hasn't rusted. It's just an unbelievable truck. I'll keep it for as long as I possibly can. I wouldn't trade it for anything. Well, maybe a new toyota truck. :)

Pros: ground clearance, strong 4x4, great styling, simple basic interior . Cons: rattling in cab, revs high on cold start ups, poor speakers.
i bought my(5 speed) 93 toyota pickup 4x4 4 months ago. off an employee of toyota. the truck was in mint condition. i bought it for 8000$ pretty much the only major thing replaced on it was the cluth. done at about 160,000km. it now has 170,000 hasnt given me and problums. the truck is very solid and strong offroad. put it thu some light off road such as sand, deep snow, mud. never gotten stuck. except for one time when i got my self stuck in about 3ft of deep wet mud i had to get a tow. but if u get some decent tires(bf all terrain t/a's)the truck is very capable to handle most anything within reason u thow at it. its also got exceptional ground clearance. if u up the tire size to 31x10.50(witch fits no problum without rubbing) in really takes the stiff feel off the bumps.
so great truck! toyota trucks for life.

Fabulous Truck

Pros: Best vehicle I've own in 41 years of owning vehicles. Cons: Weak rear bumper but that can be replaced cheaply.
I bought this truck in 1996 with 5K miles. The engine tore itself up by 65K. Fixed it right away, which was about 5 years ago, one trouble since. Speedometer sending unit quit about 4 years ago, I have no earthly idea how many miles are on this truck now, and I don't care. I will NEVER part with it. Seat is torn on driver's side, a few dings and nicks in the bed (I've hauled 2000 pounds of sand, gravel and rocks at different times {weighed at the gravel lot} and 2000 pounds of broken concrete to the dump {weighed at the dump} several times with NO problems). 4 Wheel drive has gotten me out of snow that has stopped almost all other traffic. I plan to repaint the truck and replace the seat. It needs nothing else. Oh yes, my wife wants me to replace the speedometer sending unit. Might do that, too!
