Pros: Great Car for the money Cons: minor cosmetic details
The Grand Am is a step up from my previous car which was a Ford Festiva. The moment I got in to test drive it, I knew that it was what I wanted and had to have it. After riding around in a Festiva, driving the Grand Am was like driving in a limo. ...

Pros: Very comfortable yet sporty ride, fairly roomy Cons: awkward shaped trunk opening, interior body panels squeak The Bottom Line: Not everyone can afford a new car, or wants to pay interest for something that depreciates the first time you use it. If this sounds like you, consider this car.
Pontiac has made attempts to emphasize performance as their primary goal. They try to make even their four cylinder cars feel like their Firebird.
EXTERIOR
The car does look real nice when it is all shined up with a good set of rims or...

Pros: Sporty; good asthetics Cons: Mechanical nightmare; read my review for the LONG list!
Where do I start? Just typing this my blood is boiling. I bought this car in 1994 new as my first car. I was 18 years old. I really love the way the car drove and it felt sporty.
:: sigh :: it was ok the first 36k miles. Unfortunately I...

Pros: GREAT LOOKS Cons: TRANSMISSION LOCK UP ON CONVERTER
Being the car enthusiast that I am, I probably buy and sell more cars in a year than most do in 10. I am always on the lookout. And since I have this special need for self gratification, if I see something I like, I usually go for it. Problem is, I...

I have a teal 1994 Pontiac Grand Am GT and I absolutely love it! This car is very reliable and fun to drive. The car handles well in all types of weather, which is very important to me since I live in the Mideast. I have had the car for three years...

Pros: Very fast, very reliable, has survived a lot Cons: Rides just a little rough, but i don't mind
A 1994 Grand Am GT with the 3.1L V6 was (is) my first car. I am 19, and I bought the car at 16. It was bought for $10,500, and has all the options these cars came with (ie, power locks, windows). When I first got it, it had around 56,000 miles on it....

Pros: Sporty. VERY Fast. Good Looks. Firm Drive. BEST Steering EVER! Cons: Brakes. Wheels...that's about it. The Bottom Line: If you buy a used one, not all drivers take good care of their cars and none of these opinions may apply.
This car was first bought by my brother who took me with him to shop for. Having an inclination that one day I would be driving it (I bought it off him after two years), I choose the color and picked some of the accessories for him. I fell in love with...

Pros: It 10 years old and running like New Cons: Nothing bad to say of this one The Bottom Line: Well its been good for me so far and many years to go. My first new car and not ready to give it up.
I always wanted to write on my Grand-Am. I have a 1994 Grand Am Gt. As it was a limited addition and with a sports car style I could not pass it by. As the story goes I had a old 1980 Ford Fairmont station wagon and looking around for 3 months drove ...

Pros: Beautiful car, good gas mileage, easy handling and fun to drive. Cons: Nothing works, nothing stays repaired, a complete engineering disaster. The Bottom Line: Avoid this car if you can. Almost any other car will last longer and spend more time in your driveway than the repair shop.
My Pontiac Grand Am SE was six years old when I bought it from my brother. He had had it about eight months, but wanted to buy a truck. I had been driving a 1998 Isuzu Amigo (which is ANOTHER nightmare), so I decided to give the Pontiac a try. Years ...

Pros: Great Handling; Sporty feel and styling Cons: Too many to list here - read the review! The Bottom Line: Would not recommend to anyone. A friend also had similar problems with her V6 Grand Am
The 1994 Grand Am was the 1st brand new car I ever owned. I purchased it in Nov 1993 using my grandfather's employee discount. In March 1994 the problems started. The brake pads needed to be replaced, and there was a thick layer of brake dust on the ...

Pros: Handling, Gas Mileage, Looks Cons: Noisy Interior, Power The Bottom Line: If you want to have a sporty car that will last a long time and get good gas mileage, this car is for you.
The car itself has held up very well over the 100,000 miles the previous owner put on it, other then a couple of interior stains from their children. After I bought the car (Jan. '02), it looked brand new after a good wash and cleaning. The engine was...

Pros: Good size, good gas mileage Cons: Brake jobs every 6,000 miles. Chipping paint.
In 1997 I purchased a 1994 Pontiac Grand Am GT 4 door. The car looked to be in excellent shape and only had 17,000 miles on it. I took the car for a test drive and, being only 18, I thought this was a great car.
The first thing that went wrong...
